  1. I just think it would be worth giving Weaver a few starts and see what he can do. Yes he had a bad year in Seattle last season but he has had some decent years and maybe he can give us more then Villy, Parra and Bush are giving is right now.
  2. Oh yes he could! I suppose yes it is possible he does worse, but what we have been trotting out there are not getting it done so does it matter? No, might as well try someone new. I still think Villy is better served as a high quality long relief pitcher.
  3. I think I'm even more frustrated with Hardy then Weeks, although both are my two least favorite players on the team. Hardy just never seems to even hit the ball hard.
  4. That is thinking. He can't be any worse then those three have been so why not give him a chance. Maybe he pitches as he did for LA and that year in St. Louis. That would be better then any of other guys (except for Sheets of course).
  5. Well what do you think? Target date for Weaver to come up and take a stab at starting for Milwaukee? If Villa and Parra continue to struggle can't imagine Weaver could be worse, maybe we catch some lighting in a bottle? I say we see Weaver by May 26th, if not earlier.
  6. If Yost is fired and Simmons leaves as well I would want Kremblas to take over.
  7. I don't know if the players don't like Yost, but I don't see any evidence of them liking him either.
  8. Considering we have already lost 5 in a row and we still have one game left in Florida and then we have St. Louis, LA and Boston. I would say if those go as bad as I think they will Yost will be gone by May 19th.
  9. So frustrated right now. Can't really put it into words. Just want to start shouting Fire (insert name here).
  10. Let's see, were facing a guy I have never heard of with an ERA above 7. Why do I get the feeling bats stay cold tonight and dude likes like Cy Young? Because it has happened before, but maybe we buck the trend tonight, mash and Bush has a solid outing and a winning streak begins! One can only hope.
  11. Well, as Bando said, Molitor was "just a DH". http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif I still get very angry every time I think of or hear that stupid quite by Bando. Yeah Sal, just a DH a future Hall of Fame DH who still had a lot of good years left in him.
  12. I am impressed that people at ESPN actually spent that much time digging into Brewers history. But my God, it sure is awfully true what they were proclaiming in that article. Makes me even more depressed during this current losing streak. But I do agree with RyDogg that the late 80's early 90's teams were not that bad really. Of course the late 70's early 80's are still the franchises best years.
  13. Oh yuck that would be awful. Hey Woogie, love your new avatar.Very cool.
  14. I have been a pretty neutral guy on Yost. Don't hate him, not totally crazy about him. But a question I would like to know is if Yost were to be fired at some point during the season. Who would take over? Is Simmons a sure thing? Many have said he may walk if Yost is canned. Would Frank Kremblas be promoted from AAA? Or is there another option?
  15. Yes, but I'm a little nervous we won't.
  16. That was a rough week, no doubt about that. But tonight in Florida maybe we can win this series or even better get a sweep that would be huge going back home for a couple of series.
  17. I dunno, just seemed like the right thing to say.
  18. I would read that book.
  19. Love the pink Woogie, great idea. These guys need a kick in the rear end.
  20. See the fact that he had his best year in 2003 and the Mitchell Report stuff was 2004. I think he has pitched okay, he isn't the guy he was from 2002-2004 for two reasons. Elbow and back surgery. He still thorws 94-94 with a decent breaking ball and a wicked changeup.
  21. I think the OF can work with Braun in left, LaPorta in right, and Corey in center, and would certainly be the most ideal for the lineup. I totally agree with that Peavey.
  22. Gagne did get jobbed today, though, and I do agree that he hasn't been as bad as the numbers or even the results bear out. That said, he hasn't exactly been a $10M closer, either. Well said Series.
  23. Why? Because he got squeezed badly today and the umps blew a call at first base that was clearly an out? He made great pitches like he has for most of the season. I don't remember Berkman being this bad of a Brewer killer, but he was in this series for sure.
  24. I think this team can win, I am a bit unsure of what to do with Hardy and Weeks though.
  25. Gagne was straight up screwed today. He was making great pitches and was totally getting squeezed. Throw in that great play by Rickie to get Blum that was called safe even though he was clearly out and the Brewers got screwed. It has happened a lot this season. Seems like the umps have been worse and worse. Gagne should have had his 10th save today not his 5th blown save, he threw the ball real well and has since that blow save in Cincy.
