  1. well nevermind the comeback I forgot we have no pitching
  2. The point I will get excited about this team is when we start beating the Cardinals
  3. Is Yuniesky Betancourt trying to follow a similar path as slugger Jose Bautista? well if you look at the numbers the similarity is striking Both made their debut at 23 years of age both were terrible at the plate and bounced from team to team minors to the majors before both came out of nowhere and started hitting like stars Now lets look at their numbers before they breakout seasons Before Bautista had his breakout season with Toronto he spent 6 season in the Majors and during that time he averaged .259 hit 59 Homeruns before his 2010 breakout season in which he hit 54 HR and had 124 RBI Yuni on the other hand leading into this season had a career avg of .269 with 67 HR over 9 seasons (very similar to Bautista) Now lets compare Jose Bautista's breakout 2010 season to Yuni's current season and the first 31 games numbers Yuni AVG .266 HR 8 RBI 24 Bautista AVG .216 HR 6 RBI 20 As you see very close correlation with the numbers throughout their careers and I'm not saying Yuni is the next Bautista but what I am trying to say that it is possible for a player to be terrible and then suddenly find it and turn out to be a star and as a Brew Crew fan I really hope this is the case for Yuniesky Betancourt
  4. Ok I got this idea in my head today and I thought I would share this with you all and see what your opinion on this lineup is (after aram and hart return) bare with me please Ok top 3 all with top flight speed and contact could lead to alot of runners in scoring postion 1 Aoki 2 Segura 3 Gomez 4 Braun 5 Ramirez 6 Hart 7 Betancourt or Weeks (Depends on which one is hot) 8 Lucroy Ok assuming Yuni is still hitting like he is now..........say when hart returns that would put your next 4 hitters in the lineup as serious power rbi guys behind the 3 speedsters I really do think with this lineup Braun would hit 120+ rbi just think about it with Braun's protection Behind Gomez..........Gomez will see alot of good over the plate fastballs and we all know he likes to swing the bat that is his style and with the way he is swinging now that could send his production to the next level and even if Yuni returns to old form and Weeks finds his bat again Weeks could go right into Yuni spot and the lineup would still be strong Just food for thought
  5. I think Harold was just trying to fill his "say 12 stupid things a day quota" or something
  6. God I hate Harold Reynolds on MLB network....they showed the Rickie Weeks HR and Harold referred to Miller Park as a "joke park" I really hate that guy so much
  7. I should have worded my post better the reason why I said "Yeah no Weeks sadly AT THIS POINT Betancourt is a better player than him...." what I mean by that is if by the time aram and hart come back and weeks is still hitting like he is and yuni also IMO you should play the best players and AT THIS POINT yuni is playing much better than Weeks
  8. For me my lineup goes like this Right now 1 Aoki 2 Segura 3 Braun 4 Lucroy 5 Gomez 6 Betancourt 7 Gonzalez 8 Weeks 9 Pitcher The reasons for this lineup are Aoki (good speed good contact) Segura (good speed and contact) Braun (he is Ryan Braun enough said) Lucroy (has a tradition of hitting good with runners in scoring position) Gomez (If he keeps hitting like he is he may trade places with Lucroy) Betancourt ( his batting has been a pleasant surprise especially in RBI situations and with speedster gomez infront of him he will have alot of chances for RBI's ) Gonzalez (got to play him no choice due to injuries good defence though) Weeks ( IMO a Terribly overrated baseball player can't field can't throw and strikes out alot plus poor contact....but he does take alot of pitches and would be a good fit infront of the pitcher because typically 8 hitters don't usually get to see alot of good pitches) After the injured players return RF Aoki SS Segura LF Braun 3B Ramirez 1B Hart C Lucroy CF Gomez 2B Betancourt Yeah no Weeks sadly at this point Betancourt is a better player than him....
  9. That called strike three on Braun was one of the worst called strikes I've seen in awhile........but the bat flip was a great reaction.......I dunno how Braun controlled himself thier I couldn't I threw the remote across the room lol with a few choice words lol

  11. sweep the world champs sounds like a good way to get this team going
  12. Thank god that's over henderson about gave me a heart attack On a side note I am out of state right now and I was forced to watch the game on wgn.....anyways the cubs announcers kept talking about how deep Aoki plays in right field and how they thought it wasn't smart to play that deep.....they must have pointed that out atleast half a dozen times well on the last time they pointed that out was the last out flyout by Castro....I found it funny because Aoki had to take like two steps to the right to get the out.....so after the annoucer just put his foot in his mouth .......he then started the typical Chicago soar loser stuff by saying "well if the wind wasn't blowing in it would have been a grandslam cubs win"........I just laughed and turned the TV off
  13. Agreed thier is an obvious problem I just hope for the team sake it gets worked out .......also I'm rooting for Ax to put it back together again............Season is early and for me atleast thier is still hope
  14. An interesting point was made on MLB network Mitch Williams said that he thinks Ax is tipping his pitches that thier is no way guys can hit a guy like it's BP when he throws a 97 mph fastball in combo with a big hook and slider.........I think thier might be something to that because lets face it dexter fowler was hitting Ax like he was willie mays also he went on to note that part of the problem was Ax isn't knocking people back at all this year and last year he thinks Ax needs to start using that 97mph fb to knock them back and then use the curve/slider to corkscrew them
