  1. I got it Friday and got so hooked on the game that I beat it by yesterday afternoon. It does really draw you in unlike any other game that I've played in a while. There is so much to do and so many different aspects to the game that I've actually started over just to play around with some of the different options.
  2. UW-Madison B.S. Political Science and Economics 2007 UW-Madison J.D. 2010 I ran the full range of jobs during college. I worked in a local Copps, for the Village of Plover Public Works Department, for a political science research project and currently work for an institute in the Ag school.
  3. Right now on The Dan Patrick Show. He has declared Madison the greatest college sports town in America. For the rest of the show he will be taking calls to debate it.
  4. If I recall correctly, I don't think the Amy's employee knew her. However, he did create a bit of a catch-22 when he walked her home and that guy ran into her. He probably decided to do the good thing and walk her home, but to hand her off to someone, even if they claimed to know her, was a bad idea. The part we'll probably never know for sure is if she indicated that she knew the person who approached them. That is what a lot of this hinges on.
  5. They said something about cell phone tracking/technology, but they wouldn't elaborate any further than that.
  6. To go off of what MadisonBrewerBlue said, at their 4:30 pm press conference the coroner said that the body might be that of Nolan and then Chief Ray said they believe there is a suspect at large. They were also very tight lipped about the methods they used to find the site and all other information.
  7. As of the 2pm press conference, Madison PD still is not confirming, nor denying, that the body is that of Kelly Nolan. This whole story has been strange from the get go.
  8. On his radio show today, he has said that he has been in contact to audition but he hasn't been offered anything. He has been hyping some sort of news that "will change his life" though that is supposed to be on tomorrow if I understood correctly
  9. True, the chances are slim for Vargas to improve too much. Yo has so much upside that it's either starting in the bigs or down in AAA and he has shown too much to be sent down. Bush has been shakey and Vargas has a limited innings range. I would rather take 5 good innings each time out than a good game followed by a poor one from Bush.
  10. He can only go 5 solid innings now, but short of sending him down, starting him is the only way that he'll be able to develop the ability to go 6+ innings. He needs to consistently pitch in order to progress as a player and I don't think he'll be able to do that coming out of the pen as a long guy.
  11. not to thread jack, but would you be willing to sell the extra Bill Hall zingsheim?
  12. Hopefully, Baker struggles like in his last two appearances. Those bullpen ERAs for the Twins are a bit scary from the Crew perspective.
  13. 1. Hart 2. Hardy 3. Braun 4. Fielder 5. Jenkins 6. Hall 7. Estrada 8. Weeks 9. Pitcher Along with that (but maintaining the order): 1) give Jenkins 2 days off a week (generally against lefties), 2) When using Counsell or Graffy at 3B/SS/2B, put them at 8 and move Hall/Weeks to the spot they are vacating.
  14. If I'm not mistaken, they don't allow you to switch your account over to a new address until like a month before the move. You'd think with the tremendous device known as the computer you would be able to do this earlier, but they apparently cannot keep cohesive thoughts together for more than a month. If your just stopping your service you may be able to do it at any time.
  15. I feel the UW campus pain. Over the past 4 years, I had to call them a dozen or so times with problems and was put through the useless "unplug everything and then plug it back in" routine, even when I told them up front that I tried that. I was also told on several occasions that sun spots were to blame or that I was getting On-Demand for free and the operator wasn't so I should be happy with the service even though it doesn't work. That being said, options are limited. Has anyone had experience with Direct-TV in the UW-Madison campus area (downtown) and apartments. I'm just not so sure the whole Southern exposure thing will work with all the high rises going up in the area.
  16. The ending very well could have been David Chase throwing it in the face of those who wanted Tony to die. Show every shadowy figure in the world, draw up the tension with Meadow arriving late (to possibly miss the bloodshed) and then fade to black. The Sopranos never really gave people what they wanted, and I guess they continued in that tradition. Tangential to that, I was screaming and cursing at Charter Communications because I was sure they had screwed up the cable signal at the worst time possible when the screen went black.
  17. The episode was disappointing and unsatisfying. I'm a fan of strange, original endings, but you also have to have something of substance to placate the viewer. There wasn't enough action, wrap-up, or closure to allow for the cliff-hanger ending to not placate the annoyance of the ending. Had there been more development of the FBI/indictment story and then the cliff-hanger, it would have been fine because then you have some sense as to where the story is going/has gone. Endings like that of last nights episode only work when the episode answers more old questions than it asks new ones or leaves old ones untouched, IMO
  18. They have played the Red Sox in an interleague series: (From Baseball Almanac) 59 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 06-06-2003 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp vs Boston Red Sox &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 9-3 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp W &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 25-34 60 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 06-07-2003 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp vs Boston Red Sox &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 10-11 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp L &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 25-35 61 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 06-08-2003 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp vs Boston Red Sox &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 1-9 &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp L &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbsp 25-36 I was "lucky" enough to be in attendance at the 1-9 drubbing

  20. The craziness continues. I work at UW-Madison and they just sent around an email with the following clips: "However, UW-Madison students, faculty and staff are urged to monitor rapidly changing weather conditions. The storm has been predicted to reach Dane County between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m., and it is advisable for university students and staff to return home before that time or be prepared to stay in a campus building while the storms pass through." "Employees are urged to consult with their supervisors, should the need arise for them to adjust their working hours today. Supervisors are asked to show flexibility in response to requests of employees to arrive late or to leave early because of the weather." The Assistant Dean I work for said that this is the strongest statement made by the university he has ever seen over his many years here, and that includes 2 years ago when they closed down campus early due to snow.
  21. In the past, when I was in the Point school district, they wouldn't cancel school for a blizzard, so unless there has been a dramatic shift in policy, they are anticipating very bad, near disaster, weather.
  22. I'm starting to heavily lean towards getting an Olevia. I'm not sure whether to go with a 32 or 37 in though (i've ruled out 27 as being too small). I think I'll wait until August/Sept to get it though to see if any price drops happen or any new products are released. One more questions, and thanks by the way for all the help provided already. Does anyone know how the new FCC regulations are going to effect tv in 2009? I have heard two different stories: 1)DTV will be the new standard, so not much will change, unless you use an old analog tv and 2)HDTV will be the new standard, so investing in a non-HDTV is not a wise move.
  23. Link I've looked at the radar and I've read over the reports at the weather channel, it looks like this type of action may be a bit premature. Tonight, on the other hand, it looks like it could get sketchy.
  24. Some places in Central/North WI have already canceled schools and events for the day, and it isn't even raining yet. That has to say something about what people expect it to be like in the afternoon.
