  1. What does Davis bring to the team? Awful in the field and is a strike out machine. A couple 2 homer games in a season don't make up for that. Cannot stand watching him play.
  2. Thanks for the in depth reporting Tom. Really going out of your way to get the scoop. Tom isn't one of the worst in the business for nothing. Dynamite stuff.
  3. This deal is not good at all. I can't believe there is even a debate. We got an injured pitcher and a guy who isn't going to play here. At least not for long. I'm puzzled by the deal and struggling to figure out what we got for an all star player who does everything. Just baffled.
  4. I hope this happens and he is able to finish his career in a race. Good luck to him. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2015/07/aramis-ramirez-pirates-trade.html
  5. I agree with everything you said. Problem is you send common sense and many in the world today cannot do that. So they need government to make laws to protect themself from themself. Catchers cant block the plate, Kids can't play dodgeball, rubber playgrounds, and on and on. One incident and they goofy people think we need nationwide change to the way things have been done for many years. Instead of each individual making a decision to block the plate, play dodgeball, play on concrete, etc... Nobody wants any responsibility and wants to sue or make somebody pay for their accident. If you don't want to get hit, go do something else
  6. I cannot stand all the manager talk every year. All they do is manage the egos and make a few decisions a game. If you have great players you will do just fine over the course of the long season. Even when a team wins, there are people who will believe it's because of the players and still complain about the manager. Then when they lose its all the managers fault. It's just a nonstop complain machine. So now that they fired RRR where are they complaining about CC? Apparently he was the reason we collapsed last year and were so bad this year. Never mind everyone could not hit or pitch at at the end of last year or to begin this year. But now we made a change and its the same stuff. So what do you move on to now? Keep complaining or move on to the players? Being in a small market we have to do everything right in order to compete. Draft well, sign the right free agents, and keep the right young players. We are competing with teams that can give Braun contracts to multiple players and can be wrong about a guy. If Braun sucks we are screwed. Which was last year. So when the brewers hire the next manager, there will be the same group out there that will say they do this and that wrong regardless of winning or losing. It could be Joe Torre and they would claim that they know more and will say the things he did wrong. That is what always gets me. People claim in the game threads what a manager does right and wrong and actually believes that they know better. Its absolutely hilarious. They make small moves that have limited effect on the game. Great players will win you alot of games. End of rant. Sorry about that.
  7. Don;'t care if they fired him or not. Not much he could have done to make this start any different. Hopefully the can go on a streak and get something out of this season. But hiring Counsell is not a good choice. Not sure how hiring a first time manager can generate excitement even if it's a hometown hero. And I certainly not excited for the people to start the complaining after the first losing streak and calling for his head. It's almost like they don't understand that there are 162 and every team in the league will lost around 65 games or more. Get those emails ready because it won't be long before you will be posting them to this site.
  8. Wow I have read the site for a long time and just started an account. This is some rough talk from the folks around here. We are still 9 games into the season right? The nationals are off to a rough start with the best pitching staff of all time, supposedly. You can not make all they blanket statements after a few series. If you read this stuff you would think the team is 50 games or more into the season. Slow down and take a breath.
