  1. Has that been reported that he is not signing? He is another class and a half above these other guys just throw him the bag and call it a draft. Got to be another 2 signings with that much of the pool left. Maybe Wech takes a hometown discount.
  2. Come on Nunnallee 30 mins big guy! Pro ball is awaiting!
  3. Who besides Monasterio? And he is awful too. It is a shame what injuries have done to any semblance of positive momentum for the offense.
  4. Joe Ross is absolutely rotten even second time through the order usually the third though is when it bites him. Pull him and never let him start again. Junis role ASAP.
  5. The market was awful for a team like the Brewers. Especially with how random October is and the injury issues on the current team. Lot of reasons to not throw away legit prospects.
  6. This is a rental arm that has an extensive injury history. He has been middling as hell throughout the majority of his career. This year he seems to have tapped into something, but I am not losing sleep about missing on him. Side note it is hilarious to watch MLB network try to hype this up as a BIG deal. What a snoozer of a deadline overall.
  7. In hindsight and given the market the Brewers would have been much better off holding Burnes till the deadline *ducks
  8. Only for Charles McAdoo that is definitely a conversation the Brewers should have been in. Mona is not gonna cut it.
  9. IKF to the Pirates is extremely annoying. Don't love our current bats as is and I really hope we add one. Doubt we do.
  10. Ross is solid for about 3 innings and then gets found out. Much rather him in the Junis role than start.
  11. Unless his market completely falls out under him I have absolutely no interest in giving that kind of compensation for a rental arm. Especially one with a long history of injuries and back issues this year.
  12. Preller is so dumb lol. I'd call him to see if he'd give a king's ransom for Devin Williams Salas or De Vries should be on the table with these returns!
  13. IKF is a good call out. Brewers were interested in the summer too IIRC. Might be pretty expensive though.
  14. Dang would have really liked Dejong in the utility role instead of Mona. Feel like that is the one glaring hole.
  15. Only one worth getting excited for is Nunnallee. Broughton isn't in the same stratosphere of prospect.
  16. I get the MLB draft is extremely fickle but comparing last year to this one's haul... especially with how large of a bonus pool the Brewers had. MAN it is disappointing. 2023s outcomes had me really really excited for this drafr but without Levonas this class is off to a poor start. Nunnallee helps soften the blow hope they can at least ink him since Kiley was quite high on him. Also if he goes the college route I hope he doesn't have an arm injury or worse because that is the risk you run. Maybe well see him again in 2026.
  17. Thank you good to know. Maybe that plays a bit into the calculus since this year was a kind of weaker draft. Use the added bonus pool from 68 and whatever comp pick you get from Adames and get some dogs. This is copium. In other news kind of cool that we signed Prince's kid as a UDFA.
  18. Do we know if we get a comp pick next year (usually one lower) if he does not sign? Or is that just for the earlier rounds. Also what is NIL money like for baseball it can't be that much in comparison to football and basketball even for the best programs? Not that much viewership for college ball. I just think if you're a pitcher drafted that high getting offered a multi million dollar deal why would you ever waste bullets in college? You have one arm injury you lose a year of development and leverage later on. Seems like a massive risk for little to no reward.
  19. Very true! I just have seen some folks mention reallocating as a way to cover the loss.
  20. No one is really worth that money outside of maybe James Nunnallee
  21. This Levonas news absolutely blows. In my opinion the draft is basically an unmitigated failure if we cannot ink him. Remember that slot disappears completely if he does not sign can't just allocate it elsewhere.
  22. Man that is unfortunate I know HS arms come with a ton of risk but I loved Caminiti and Sloan. Draft would have been A+ for me. I'm not the highest on Payne hopefully he can prove me wrong. Run tools just don't move me as much as it used to and that swing needs a lot of adjustment IMO. For what he signed for feel like there was some more value available.
  23. Was referring to the OP when there wasn't any information about the amount he signed for in that blip.
