  1. DSL Brewers Gold is being livestreamed on Youtube today.
  2. I still love this pick though Eric Longenhagen thinks he will never hit enough. Brewers have definitely zagged a bit in comparison to the rest of the league that has been so focused on hit tools. While I am sure the Brewers still believe that it is important to have they probably feel they can take advantage of a market inefficiency here. I personally find the swing beautiful and with some tinkering by the Player Development staff he can make more contact.
  3. I have never been convinced quicker that someone stinks on ice like Ament. I am still rooting for him but he is just timid, weak on contact and not all that great of an athlete. Which with how raw he is.... Terrible combo. A poor man's Kuzma. *sigh
  4. Just as I say that Fischer mashes his 9th HR in his short stint in Biloxi. Incredible stuff.
  5. Really love the fact he pulled the ball too with that mammoth hack. He has had some trouble being late with his timing on stuff since getting to Wilson.
  6. Do you think the Brewers are concerned with the swing and miss as we are when it comes to guys like Payne and Fischer? Geniune question they still are getting on base at good clips, but I cannot help but be hesitant when I see that kind of swing and miss.
  7. Yes picking late inherently lowers bonus pool. We also lost a little over a million dollars of flexibility trading that pick to Boston. We will have a round A pick next year so hopefully we win that lottery (difference is about 600K extra) We would have to offer Bauers the Qualifying Offer in order to get that pick which the way he is playing I would say that is a safe assumption to do.
  8. Dino Ebel is the next manager of the team when Murph calls it quits. Not an inspiring series from him but also have to take into account the marathon the last 17 games were. The injuries are what concerns me.
  9. We have one of the lowest bonus pools in the whole draft, so we couldn't really expect a knock your socks off draft on paper. Gotta trust the player development department and model.
  10. I mean with that payroll they should. Theyre still not gonna go anywhere with how bad of a rotation that is. Also PCA is about to fall crash back down to earth I can feel it.
  11. Dont need a game thread this one is already over. Pathetic effort to go into the midsummer classic. Most irritated I have been at a halfway point with a team this good. The fricking wheels are just falling off with injuries. Miz and Harrison have me deeply concerned.
  12. This needs to be at 75% of slot value anymore and it was a pretty poor value pick.
  13. That is an interesting arm. His change up looks plus just from video. Ebel will get 75% of slot otherwise it is a poor value pick. Strosnider probably gets a bit above slot and so does Julian Garcia. I bet the Brewers have all the numbers locked in. Doubt there is a ton to play with today but I will be pleasantly surprised if there is a good swing or two at a harder to sign guy.
  14. Surely that is true I am just saying there really isn't a roster crunch on the 40 man right now.
  15. The one tonight will most likely have a delay or be postponed. Forecast looks bleak around gametime currently.
  16. He will be a long reliever and spot starter. Henderson is taking over Woody's spot in the rotation so the Brewers needed some depth. I don't hate it he pitched well for the Brewers at times and pushed our you know what in with the Cubs this year. I expect a Greg Jones DFA very soon.
  17. My friend is a high school coach in Southern Wisconsin and has played against him a couple times. Says he is an absolute specimen and a really good kid too. Stayed til the bus had to leave to take pics with all the kids and sign autographs. I would be stoked if we can grab him.
  18. Before the incoming Tommy John surgery I would have 1000% agreed. Would be tantalizing to have him and Miz in the same rotation.
  19. Thats gonna be my sleep paralysis demon tonight
  20. I can't put my finger on it but there is something about Wetherholt's face that irks me. I would wager the farm that he was a biter growing up as a kid.
  21. What a dang shame for that kid. Special arm.
  22. PCA is probably having the greatest 2 months of his entire career right now. He is just as streaky as Garrett Mitchell but credit to him hes cut down on the Ks and upped the BBs. This pace they are on isn't sustainable when you look at the state of their rotation.
  23. I am liking the hard contact from Pratt lately. His defense already has him on a 6.5/162 game bWAR pace.
  24. My goodness where is the awareness of this team. It's the 9th.
  25. Probably the most frustrating Brewer in recent history for me. He could be so so good but there is so much meat left on the bone he never seems to tap into.
