    Similar secondary pieces? I am probably taking Gallo. Way higher floor and a big time ceiling. In reality though Mejia would get you better secondary pieces so I would easily take him instead. Agreed on Gallo. It's been discussed ad nauseum about whether he's the second coming of Russell Branyan (A/C Controlling Excluded). I'd love to add that power because if he does all come together, unbelievable cornerstone type player.

    Well if they can get a deal done with Jeffress or Smith included the haul could be better. I have faith of a Astros type move that Daniels coughs up someone that most don't think will be included. Go swindle someone Stearns!

    Well if that's the case I'd tell Chernoff & Antonetti to go take a leap off of the tallest building they can access in the Mistake By The Lake.

    Why would the Brewers balk at the option being eliminated? If he's traded, I'm sure they couldn't care less about whether or not he has a team option for next season. Well I'm guessing Mejia then wouldn't be included in any deal, which DS immediately nixes. Indians wouldn't give that package if Luc isn't opted in for '17.

    You know I'm starting to really think that may be happening. It doesn't look good that a 2-Time All Star Catcher and the best pitch framer in MLB would be allocated to little or no catching in 2017. Something doesn't smell right about any of this.

    Well hopefully Stearns can pull off a Melvin and get a great haul (ala Mets ->Astros) last year. Work those phones David!

    If Corey does that he will have had a special career! I'd LOVE to see that career line for him!

    Montgomery & Stearns on Periscope seem incredible excited about the pick. I'm going to hold off judgement until everyone around Corey (along with Corey) get to The Show. Who knows, does Puk's arm fall off or Groome melt down in the minors? Nothing is a sure bet.

    Agree. So do you prefer Ray Lankford, Charlie Blackmon or Andrew McCutcheon as comp for Corey Ray?

    I wasn't sure they'd even have a shot at Puk or Lewis a few weeks ago. To me it's down to those two in this scenario and then I'd select Puk.

    So we are currently sitting with this Top 5 (if rumors aren't BS). 1. Phillies: Moniak 2. Reds: Senzel 3. Braves: 4. Rockies: Pint 5. Brewers: Brewers are primed for an elite arm (Puk/Groome) or position talent (Lewis, Rutherford, Ray, Lowe or Collins). I really like the spot that Milwaukee is sitting in tonight.

    The Rays are in 5th place, 8 games out of first, 6.5 out of a wild card, and 6 games under .500. We are more in contention then they are. They have no business trading away prospects. But should they NEED to move on from say Garrett Whitley, Casey Gillaspie or Brent Honeywell (Is it that darn screwball that's causing soreness?) they would definitely have my attention.
