Cardinals/Padres is over so it moved to ESPN. The O/U in the first 5 innings was 4 and I'm really regretting not placing a bet on the under because I was really tempted to. And it only took about 7 hours.
When Ryan Appleton is your cleanup hitter, you can only hope for a fluke. [sarcasm]But all we need to do for next year is add a couple more pieces.[/sarcasm]
We shall see. But I think you underestimate how amazingly good the Dodgers truly are. And luckily, they will play the Cards should they defeat the Brewers. The Dodgers are my secondary team. I know how good they are. It doesn't matter.
Nope. This is the type of season the Cardinals usually go all the way: the seasons they have no business winning. 2006 they were an 83 win team. 2011 it took a Braves collapse in September to get them in the playoffs. This year they had to deal with a covid outbreak and play a plethora of doubleheaders and get into the playoffs on the last day. It's destiny. They're just a charmed franchise, and I hate them.
After tomorrow, this team won't see 18 playoff games in the next 20 years. You don't think Attanasio, Stearns, and Counsell are going to get 4 total playoff series in the next 2 decades? I would like to place a wager with you on this one.. Fine. 19
I know they’re up 1-0, but I’ll still be a little surprised if they beat the Padres. This is the type of season the Cards usually win the World Series.
