  1. Might be time to start a "Trade Jesus Aguilar" thread after the season, because I could easily see him going down the same path as Knebel.
  2. Are we finally in "must win" mode now? Or is there still plenty of season left?
  3. And on the opposite spectrum, there are teams like the Cardinals that just has that "it" factor; how they are always in contention year after year no matter what the talent level or payroll is.
  4. Sometimes I wonder if opposing pitchers walk off the mound after working out of a jam unscathed thinking "same old Brewers", because that's what Mikolaus' body language was saying.
  5. You forgot to put "Yeah" at the beginning of that text. Because that's how he starts every answer in the post game presser.
  6. Considering CC is gone there may be a "so you're telling me there's a chance" chance.
  7. I can't remember. Was it the Cardinals that excessively beaned Cain earlier this year? He sure wasn't happy about it after it happened again. Either way, you can count on CC to not do anything about it.
  8. LOL Verducci suggesting they use Hader even if the Brewers are trailing. Good luck with that.
  9. That offense that wasn't doing anything all game got the team to within one run of tying the score. You dont put out your mop up reliever, whom wasn't deemed good enough to warrant a roster spot for the Padres, for a second inning when we had made it a winnable game and give back the two runs we had scored in the top of the inning, sucking the life out of the rest of the team. Lyles is our new Oliver Drake, whom is on his fifth team this year BTW. A guy who has a +4.5 ERA and a lifetime 5.35 ERA is not someone who can cover multiple innings. And no one is saying use Hader, or whomever else, every time in a close game we are trailing, but it sure would be nice to see him pitch more than once a week. He only has 39 appearences and 58 IP on the year. How fresh do we need him to be? Most relief pitchers have those numbers before the All Star Break.
  10. I have been thinking this for weeks but this is the first time RR has been brought up that I know of. Their stubborn philosophy of bullpen management.
  11. LOL, CC doubles down on his usage of Hader, plus Jeffress. It's ok to use your best relievers to protect a one run defecit once in a while. Hader could literally pitch in every game the rest of the season and still not come close to reaching CC's magic number of 90 games.
  12. Mike Shildt is interim manager, right? Can we get him next year because he's clearly a better manager than CC, and I didn't even know his name before tonight.
  13. I'm beginning to think Kato Kaelin's twitter account is not parody after all.
  14. I didn't click on the link, but I would really like to know the reasons these managers, GMs etc think CC is the best manager in the NL. Maybe they're employed by teams battling the Brewers for playoff position that they want to see CC Brewers manager as long as possible.
