  1. It didn't get harder at all. A ball is a ball and a strike is a strike. Perhaps they'd get better at their jobs if there were some actual repercussions for their ineptitude instead of what I suspect are slaps on the wrist and being told to do a better job next time.
  2. On the plus side, the Marlins just batted around in the first and put up a 5 spot on the Reds. Two of the outs was a sac bunt by the pitcher and on the base paths, and the only way Gutierrez will find the strike zone is if Brian Gorman is behind the plate.
  3. And on top of strike zone interpretation, no other sport has a replay problem as big as MLB does.
  4. We can hope for it, but it will never happen. MLB has turned a blind eye to it and will deny there's a problem.
  5. Rowdy had a nice little hot streak but in the end, he is who he is. Just a guy.
  6. And of course it was Fairchild, because why not?
  7. The umpires taking no chances and making sure Cincinnati wins this game.
  8. Way to go, Reyes. Are you paying attention, Jackie?
  9. And so it begins. Fourth pitch of the game and Bucknor gives the Reds a break on an obvious strike.
  10. And ALWAYS in favor of the Reds. I'm seriously considering not even watching to this series anymore. How can you not at least think it's possible that the fix is in?
  11. I was just going to post the same thing. It's not going to be another one of these series where the Reds will get every call, is it?
  12. It's not gonna bode well for a comeback if the umpire is going to call obvious balls strikes.
  13. I tweaked a hammy just getting out of bed this morning, but no, no base running injuries that I can recall. That's nothing. I broke my pinky toe doing that.
  14. well, that explains Adames's base running. That's all we need is another injury to an infielder.
  15. Kind of disappointing to only get one but at least we made Mahle work with 31 pitches. I would love to knock him out early.
