  1. Seems like they're just postponing the inevitable. I think each will end up finding success elsewhere as they're still relatively young, but they'll both be on the hot seat to enter next season and it's highly unlikely they'll have the QB situation figured out. Their best bet is to probably stick with what they have and hope Trey Lance falls to them or...I guess grab Mac Jones. But unlikely either will take them from a ~8 win team to a real contender in the near future. Pace in particular looks bad. 4 straight top 10 picks and the best of them has been Roquan Smith. Kevin White was injured from the start, Floyd...who we'll see this week, is a really solid player(10.5 sacks this year) but didn't get it done in Chicago and they decided to replace him with the more expensive, less athletic version of him. He's had some big hits...like Eddie Jackson, Amos, Eddie Goldman(not sure if Hicks was there when he got there or not). But all that would have been wiped away if they'd just taken one of the other two QB's available. Not that many people considered either in place for that pick, but damn, that set the Bears back 5 years already. Well, Chuck Pagano is retiring anyway.
  2. Goff won't do anything with that bad thumb, especially in the cold. And who knows how effective Donald is going to be if he plays at all. A rib injury is the worst kind of injury to play through. The only thing that worries me is how well will Turner hold up filling in for Bahk? That will worry me for the rest of the playoffs.
  3. Remember when JuJu was the sympathetic figure when AB was trashing him?
  4. If the Steelers have a season like this next year I have to think Tomlin will be on the hot seat.
  5. This is just comical at this point. The Steelers are getting boat raced by a team that lost their head coach to covid and has hardly practiced in two weeks.
  6. Pittsburgh should be embarrassed.
  7. Remind me which team lost their head coach to covid again?
  8. Bag it, Big Ben.
  9. Can't coach that.
  10. Agreed, plus obviously those of us who work Monday's love Saturday playoff games although Covid takes some of the fun out of it. And if we lose we get an extra 24 hours to recover from depression and/or an alcoholic relapse, whichever malady affects you.
  11. We're the first game out of the gate next weekend. Nothing worse than waiting all weekend for your team to play. Also gives Donald and Kupp less time to get over their ouchies.
  12. You could say they are "punting" on the game.
  13. So is this graphic meant for the kids or the Bears?
  14. It's Nick Foles time for the Bears.
  15. The Bears need to score on defense or ST to have a chance to win.
  16. The Bears don't belong in the playoffs, and the fact the Saints haven't put them away yet is why I'm not afraid of them if we meet in two weeks. I hope they do win so they can take care of the one team I believe can/will beat us.
  17. No...I'm not going to google and seek out Packers fan fights. That's an infinitesimal pct of the fan base and a pretty ridiculous standard by which to judge the fan base. Green Bay games compared to games in Philly, Chicago, Detriot...etc...are exceptionally laid back. Going to a FB game in Packers gear in Chicago and you're treated much-MUCH worse than a Bears fan in GB. In fact, this is actually an area I wish the fans would get better. Get louder, get more into the games. But we have an older fan base, so our games aren't as loud as KC's or Seattle's. Not harassing other fans of course, but just the energy levels. I'd like to know which fan base doesn't have some idiots getting drunk and getting into fights. This started over the idea that there was this outrage when Kumerow was cut and the fans "whined" about it and now it's somehow morphed into how we're like the Cards of MLB(which I don't understand either) or it's about actively seeking out negative news stories about individual fans. You have to see how this is an AWFUL way to judge arguably the most popular team in the world, right? For the record, I've been to ~100 Packers games, I've literally never seen a single fight. I've seen some obnoxious drunk people obviously and I've usually seen them thrown out rather quickly and the section applauding that ejection. I've seen you use the Cards fans comparison several times(in fact, I THOUGHT you'd previously said you were not a Packers fan...a Brewers/Bears fan, but I may have you confused)...but it makes even less sense in the way you're now trying to use it. If you just said Packers fans have a sense of arrogance or entitlement due to their History, I'd be inclined to agree, but claiming they're "up there," inferring they're among the worst in cheering other players injuries and fights at the game....I don't think there's any truth to that beyond an anecdote or so. My brother went to a Washington game in D.C. back in '10. Was surrounded by a group of "fans" in the parking lot who harassed him and kicked his car on the way out just for having Packer gear on. And Washington WON that game. I was at Favre's first game against the Packers on MNF in '09. Was just absolutely viciously ridiculed on my way out. Nothing I could do but grit my teeth and keep walking. I'm not saying opposing fans at Lambeau don't have bad experiences from time to time but in all my times at Lambeau I've never seen opposing fans harassed beyond a little mutual teasing. I will say I've been to the new Busch stadium a couple times in Brewer gear and never once been treated disrespectfully by Cardinal fans. Yeah, I don't get the Cardinal fan comparison either. The Cubs fans are 1000x worse.
  18. MVS traded to the Bears before the game?
  19. Manti Teo is still in the league?
  20. I would rather the Saints win so they take care of the Bucs next week.
  21. The Mike Ditka Bowl.
  22. Gotta love the offensive lineman checking up on Heineke after letting him get mauled a couple times.
  23. Looks like just a knee contusion.
  24. Kupp to the locker room. Non contact too apparently.
  25. This is the same team that lost to the Jets. It's a team that, just when you think they've turned it around, they go and lay an ostrich sized egg. Goff will suck in the cold and Donald may not play. I'm just glad we won't have Tampa.
