So there are lots of things that concern me as we approach the post season. First of all our defense has been a little bit more leaky! But even more important to me than is the hitters are chasing pitches that they did not chase when they were winning games. That will need to change in the postseason.
They are basically getting no offensive production for 3B, SS, DH, and one outfielder. You can't have that many holes in a lineup and expect to score enough runs to win consistently.
This team is incredibly difficult to watch the last few nights. Don't tell me I am being negative. I call it as I see it. They are not swinging at strikes right down the middle and are swinging at stuff outside of the zone.
Honest and serious question (I don't know how to look this up): When is the last time Peralta won a game when he gave up three or less runs? Or explain to me how to look it up. Thanks.
I never expected them to do more than win the division and am not even convinced that they will do that. They just did not get enough offense in the offseason or at the deadline. What is so frustrating is they had their challenges offensively last year and they did nothing of substance to correct it.
