  1. 7/31 against the Braves. 1-2-3 inning with 1 K and only 11 pitches.
  2. Has anybody said that is can’t happen to the Brewers?
  3. Anybody know what happened to the scoreboard? I’m at the game and it isn’t working but I haven’t seen why.
  4. What gives you pause about Weeks’ future as a manager?
  5. That’s just one more stupid part of playing the last games against a division rival in July. Having to possibly play a doubleheader since you don’t travel there anymore.
  6. But you don’t just show disappointment over a two-week period or homestand… maybe you don’t see it but many others do. I went and searched to find instances of you saying this season has been an unexpected surprise but also included other positive words that could be similar and couldn’t find any - so feel free to show some. How do you not see the original post I quoted in this thread as going after posters such as sveumrules?
  7. I agree with this 100%. Maybe it’s because I grew up on ‘90s Brewers teams and found ways to endure thru those seasons that I can’t understand the other mindset.
  8. You are absolutely correct that it will exist forever on sports message boards and Bruised and our other negative posters are more than welcome to post however they want. The frustrating part is the constant negativity for a team that should have already exceeded their expectations as we’re on pace to win almost 93 games and lots of the season predictions for the team were in the 70’s.
  9. You sure seem miserable as a Brewers fan as I can rarely remember a positive thing you’ve posted and you generally go after posters using stats to show the sky is not falling when we’ve lost 3 games in a row. How are you disappointed with this season? You predicted the Brewers would win 78 games as there were just “too many holes and question marks to expect anything more.” Yet, here they are on pace to win almost 93 games.
  10. Are you this miserable with everything in life or just the Brewers?
  11. The big fireworks are scheduled for tonight!
  12. This is such a cop out. You made the claim, you need to provide the proof. If it is truly as frequent and obvious as you say (while others have actually provided quotes to the opposite) then it should be easy for you to source. Since you can’t, we’ll all just continue assuming you are speaking out of your… well, you know where. Questioning my fandom since I won’t dig up quotes for your made up argument is ridiculous. I’ve been a following the Brewers for over 35 years, been on this site for 22 and have traveled across the country to watch them play… hell, I went to 70+ games in 2003 when the team won only 68 games - I’m pretty sure I’m a true fan.
  13. Yes, examples. If it is so frequent and obvious, it should be really easy for you to back it up with quotes and articles. That was always one of the great things about this forum… most people are willing to back up their claims with quotes or articles and not just “derp, I said so… no you look it up.”
  14. I’m pretty sure you could see the ball in the webbing of his glove.
  15. I’m not sure how you can be so certain that Mark knew he’d be lowballing Counsell with an offer that was $1m more than the next highest paid manager nor do I believe the 3 year extension was insulting. All of this without getting a chance to counter the offer he took. Unless of course, you’re trying to fit this into a certain narrative.
  16. Weren’t there other reports out there that Counsell didn’t even give the Brewers a chance to match the Cubs offer? If true, there is no way for the Brewers to know that the market was willing to pay that much more. They were already offering Counsell $1m more than highest paid manager at the time.
  17. The thing that bugs me about the Peralta ejection is that the umps didn’t look like they were going to do anything until Kevin Cash asked them to have a discussion about it. Then, all of a sudden, Guccione is walking towards the other umps saying we can’t have that and gotta get him outta here. If it was so egregious that it warranted an ejection instead of warnings, then it shouldn’t be something the other manager has to ask for a discussion about.
  18. You aren’t the only one that happens to and, I agree, it can be a little annoying. I also agree that there was an increase in hostility for a while after the switch but seems to be better of late. With that said, even the increased level of hostility here was nothing compared to the rest of the internet, other forums, twitter, TikTok, etc.
  19. Why do I have this sneaky suspicion that you’d be singing a different tune if the Brewers would keep a prospect of Holliday’s caliber down in the minors to save a few million down the road?
  20. Is there any evidence the pitch clock is leading to elbow/arm injuries? Are there even more arm injuries now than pre-clock?
  21. What do you consider a high percentage?
  22. Unless there was clarification elsewhere in the article you cited, what you quoted doesn’t indicate they were 23rd after kick returns - it indicates they were 23rd after a kickoff.
  23. What did he mean then?
  24. That take was just as likely to come from the stat nerds as the “I trust my eyes” crowd.
  25. Why would you assume that I was only referring to part of what I highlighted? I felt it was pretty obvious that I was referring to endaround’s hyperbole about a back up catcher, likely part-time DH, being signed and that Brewerfan was all excited and claiming he’ll be playing a majority of the time at DH and not just him being a DH. It seemed pretty obvious to me from reading through the thread that very few were claiming he’d be the primary DH nor were they super excited about it. You going thru and picking out times anybody mentioned DH (likely out of context) didn’t refute that.
