  1. Same reason the football one opens in December? In this day and age, you can’t restrict players from entering the portal when their season is done - I’m sure it would get challenged in court if it was pushed later and the NCAA would lose again.
  2. Rohde has committed to UW.
  3. Nothing official on this one yet… maybe he sticks around? I think that it would be nice to not have to replace another front court depth piece. It is going to be difficult to replace the end of the bench with quality depth from the portal since not many players are entering the portal to be an end of the bench player at a high major.
  4. Fair. I don’t remember that happening but he definitely wears his emotions on his sleeve. Being a hot head doesn’t equate head case to me (not that you said that).
  5. Have you seen anything to indicate he hasn’t?
  6. But that wasn’t the first impression of him. Other players get called fiery and passionate when they have a blow up or two not incredibly immature or a head case. People make mistakes and we need to do a better job of giving them some grace and allowing them to change (not just in baseball but everywhere). If they keep on doing the same or won’t change by all means label them.
  7. He appealed the suspension and wasn’t demoted until after pitching the next day against the Rays, so it wasn’t immediately after the game. Who knows what would have happened if he hadn’t injured himself after only 7 appearances in AAA. Sort of a shame that you’ll paint him with such a broad brush after one public incident… if there was more behind the scenes, I’m sure we would have heard more when it happened.
  8. It doesn’t prove he’s a head case or incredibly immature… just that he made a mistake. Has he had other incidents like it? He’s 24 years old and plenty of older “mature” players have done the same or worse.
  9. You keep saying this, but the reality is they have made moves (and moves that have been similar to other teams who had more luck in the playoffs) to improve the team but not the “right” ones for you. There is an excuse why every move they make isn’t the one you happen to be talking about. People always talk about how they’re willing to watch their team be trash for years if management would just go out and “go for it” one year with huge splash moves to get over the top and win a championship. Well, we’re about to get into that territory with the Bucks and I have a funny feeling the same fans will then complain about them being crap. Also, what happens when your team does go for it, doesn’t win their championship and then closes their window for 10+ years?
  10. I just figured with how vocal you’ve been on here about it that you’d find some way to voice that to Mark and the Brewers. How are they going to make any changes when they think everybody is happy? Oh, they are definitely disagreeing with you… many posters are but it’s not because they don’t like you as you’ve claimed. You may have had some good points that could have spurred discussion but when you make claims that everybody else is getting upset, that only your opinion is objective or that you won’t back down, because others are disagreeing with you, isn’t going to help or lead to discussion that will change any minds.
  11. Nobody is disagreeing with you just because they don’t like bigred… you’re not that special. You’re getting the pushback from everybody because you’ve yet to present much besides “trust me bro” as your reasoning. Posters ask you direct questions and you don’t even reply. What prospects do you find expendable? Who would you target in your trades? What specifically could the Brewers do to show you they aren’t lying about trying to win a championship? You said your a person of action unlike the rest of us; what actions have you taken?
  12. There are plenty on here and social media that criticize the team. Just because a majority of posters don’t agree with you on this doesn’t mean they aren’t critical of the team. What actions are you taking? I plan to keep hoping and praying that our highly thought front office will continue to field a talented team that makes the playoffs most years and that it breaks our way one year… just as pretty much every other team (minus the highly thought of front office for most of them). Not sure if I’ll make it to the monthly sing-along in February though…
  13. It’s sometimes hard to hold on to the ball when somebody hits you in the helmet with the crown of their head.
  14. Saying what he “thinks”… absolutely love that from athletes and much prefer that over speaking in cliches. Williams didn’t do that based on that quote. Seems like he just brushed it off with a “not my responsibility, not my fault” type of reply. Eberflus screwed up bigly but Williams needs to have some situational awareness with the clock too. That is 100% part of his responsibility as the QB. I honestly hope that he truly thinks it wasn’t his fault and does nothing to learn from this as it will only help the Packers moving forward.
  15. The lack of accountability that Eberflus and Williams took (based on the quotes I’ve seen) wouldn’t encourage me if I were a Bears fan. For Eberflus, won’t really matter as I assume he’s canned at some point during or after the season. Is Poles next? If so, the merry-go-round will continue with another new GM/coach who didn’t pick their young QB. For Williams, it just continues to show me he doesn’t have what is needed between the ears to be a long term solution.
  16. That time we had two guys lined up in the neutral zone.
  17. Counterpoint. Historically, teams that are forced to start a rookie QB don’t have the offensive talent around them that the Bears do. Usually they are blown out all the time because the teams are in rebuild mode and lack talent along with starting a rookie QB. Williams has talent, no doubt but between it being the Bears and what’s between his ears, I’m still not worried about him. Shortly after the last play, I text my family that are Bears fans and asked how they do it.
  18. Why was that kickoff out of bounds placed at the 25 and not 40? The penalty was applied after the kickoff and not before they kicked?
  19. If I heard correctly on the radio, they said he had as many misses from 40-49 in the last 6 years as Narveson had in 6 games.
  20. As a fan who grew up on the ‘90s Brewers and went to too many games in the early ‘00s, there is always something special about seeing win #81 and then #82 and knowing that they won’t have a losing record.
  21. It would appear you are correct. https://www.wsls.com/news/local/2022/03/04/former-liberty-quarterback-malik-willis-helps-homeless-woman-in-need/
  22. Cleveland is 4th in MLB with a team strikeout percentage of 19.8%.
  23. Amazing deadline pickup without having to give up anything.
  24. Only been able to watch about half the at bats with putting kids to bed, but it looks like this umps strike zone is absolute trash against the Brewers on Gameday.
