Pretty sure the only way the runners advance is if they're forced to buy the movement of the batter runner. Far as I know it's a dead ball situation and they're only entitled to the base they had at the time of the pitch unless forced to advance.

Mears has given up runs in four out of his last five appearances. And as far as I'm concerned it's Murphy's fault as much as anyone's. He is a big failure at managing pitching staffs and that's the most important job a manager has in the MLB these days.
