The easy move is an option of Shaw to AAA. They could also drop a reliever and go with a 12-man pitching staff. If Shaw has options and cannot refuse assignment to the minors that move is a no brainer. I assumed the reluctance to bring up Hiura was because they couldn’t send Shaw down.
