  1. He was #7 in AA, but #19 in AAA and in college. So I would venture it would be #7 which has been vacated by Sogard.
  2. Yelich was drafted as a 1B/OF, so it's not entirely out of the realm to see him get 1B reps towards the end of his deal. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/423301-scouting-florida-marlins-2010-first-round-draft-pick-christian-yelich
  3. Pretty cut and dry quote from Counsell here Craig Counsell: "Lorenzo is our center fielder."
  4. I find myself Wondering what the distance was on that outlier home run to deep right center field. Because that must have been a monster shot It was in Colorado. 478 feet (roughly 1 minute mark) This is 2019 overlayed with Miller Park.
  5. Brewers sign Jackie Bradley Jr. to 2 year $24 million deal. Player option for year two. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/03/brewers-sign-jackie-bradley-jr.html

  7. My guess if Wong gets injured is that Urias would move to second with Arcia at SS. Urias came up as a second baseman, so he'd probably be the long-term solution. Otherwise, I'd think that Robertson or Arcia should be able to fill in there for a day here-and-there. I had not thought of this. You are 100% right. Urias still might be the long-term 2B if Wong leaves after his contract is up after 2022 or 2023 (if the team option is exercised). Even if it is after 2023, Urias will still only be heading into his age 27(!) season in 2024. That kid is young. They're going to give Urias every opportunity to take and keep the SS job. I believe even if Wong gets hurt, they'll stick with Urias and SS and put Arcia/Robertson there.

  9. That would be correct.
  10. Wong and Yelich make their Spring debuts. Arcia starting at 3B.
  11. Sorry at work, what does he say? San Diego is his favorite non-Milwaukee stadium to play in, and he likes the city. Which isn't surprising ... San Diego is awesome. But him saying it really doesn't mean anything. He can't pick where he gets dealt to. Trevor Bauer also said he loved MKE and Miller Pa... American Family Field in his vlog. It's just a nice thing to say.
  12. Some interesting notes in Will Sammon's article in The Athletic https://theathletic.com/2412774/2021/02/26/what-weve-learned-in-spring-about-the-brewers-third-base-and-shortstop-plans/ It appears Arcia will be working on making himself more defensively versatile, including more reps in CF. Arcia told The Athletic that he is preparing to be used at third base, shortstop and center field. “I’m ready,” Arcia said. “I’m ready for everything they ask. I’ll play wherever they want. I practice every day, taking groundballs at third base. I think it’s more mental. And I feel really good about it.” Daniel Robertson is leading the group of super-utility players on the 40-man to make the team out of spring The Brewers also have Mark Mathias and Tim Lopes on the 40-man roster as multi-positional players, but Counsell referred to Robertson as “probably at the top of the list.”
  13. JBJ has an OPS+ of 105 against RHP and 88 against LHP. Would be a 4th OF who could get plenty of time spelling Cain and Garcia against righties?
  14. According to Robert Murray, Brewers are "in the mix" for Jackie Bradley Jr.
  15. Like I said earlier, I'm a sucker for redemption archs, but only to a point. Oof! I'd be fine if we stayed away from him. He was suspended for violating the MLB's Domestic Violence policy. https://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/mlb-suspends-blue-jays-reliever-roberto-osuna-75-games/
