  1. OUTSTANDING. It looks like the management is serious about winning this season!
  2. A lot can be said about Herb Kohl, but I will remember that Steve Ballmer offered him 1 billion dollars for the Bucks with the intention of moving the team to Seattle, and Kohl turned him down. Thanks, Senator. Craig Counsell would have taken the money and explained he was trying to elevate the well-being of NBA players.
  3. I'm just glad he didn't end up with the Cubs and that new manager of theirs.
  4. Sooner or later.
  5. With an option for 2025. At 37, he's bound to have a dip sometime. Let's hope he's good for a while. https://www.mlb.com/news/wade-miley-brewers-negotiations-2023 NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- After spending the past month testing the waters in free agency, left-hander Wade Miley is coming back to the Brewers. Miley on Monday agreed to a one-year deal with a mutual option for 2025. Terms of the deal were not announced, but MLB Network insider Jon Heyman said it's for $8.5 million. ESPN's Jesse Rogers reported the mutual option is for $12 million.
  6. Great news, if it works out! Miley is such a great presence in the clubhouse.
  7. Maybe the organization wants our expert hitting coaches to draw the inner MVP out of Bauers, as they have with so many of our hitters.
  8. I threw up in my mouth a little bit when I saw CC in that Cubs uniform.
  9. If Murphy fires the hitting coaches tomorrow, he's manager of the year, in my book.
  10. It's reported that the Brewers offered him $5.5 million, which would have made him the highest paid manager in MLB, but Counsellout chose more money and went to the Chicago team. He also wanted a "new challenge," even though winning a playoff series with the Brewers would have been new as well. He also wanted to help MLB managers everywhere by raising salaries, and he began this great initiative by getting another manager fired.
  11. Making him the highest paid manager in MLB is not aggressive?
  12. We heard similar guarantees when people waxed poetic about Counsellout's loyalty and wealth. No way he would take millions from the Mets.
  13. Can be. Depends on who you're writing for.
  14. I wonder if he goes to the Chicago team with Counsellout.
  15. Someone explain to me why we re-signed the hitting coaches. Why do we reward mediocre results?
  16. If the Mets were not so impatient and went yard sale, they would have gone to the playoffs this year. Buck had them playing well toward the end., In 2022, they won 101 games. He was manager of the year. I think he would be great here.
  17. That it is, Edward. That it is, indeed.
  18. I'm not 100% sure I have the timeline right, but it looks like the Guardians and Mets hired managers and left CC to return to the Brewers or find another position. He chose the money. If he wins the World Series there, I wonder who it will feel. He'll make Chicago happy, but not the vast majority of people who followed him and supported him all his life.
  19. Not me. Not the guy who complained about the roof. He's not the highest quality on the shelf.
  20. Your name isn't David Ross. But I know whose name is Mudd.
  21. I'm sure Ross is on the phone thanking him right now.
  22. I hope the Cubs also sign Winker and Chafin'.
  23. This is a right on point.
