  1. Good hold with one out and Hoskins coming up.
  2. Same here. I'm hopeful. We need all the help we can get.
  3. Nationals released Zach Davis, age 31. Maybe the Brewers could bring him in and have Chris Hook take a look to see if there's anything left?
  4. Can Uribe handle the closing duties? Maybe he becomes a star at that position?
  5. 12 hits, 10 runs. Wiemer 2 hits.
  6. I should have used the blue font for that first sarcastic sentence.
  7. Batting average is a nonsense stat from a previous stone age era. But he's hitting .160 in spring training.
  8. For those who are in AZ, how is Wiemer's swing coming along? Is he keeping it compact and controlled, like we saw in the video clip? Or is he back to swinging at the bumblebee hovering above home plate?
  9. Dusty was hard on starters earlier in his career as manager.
  10. I will say: Pictures of Coun$ell in Cubs gear still look like poor photoshop memes.
  11. Teheran has lost a lot of his stuff since his All-Star days, but watching him with the Brewers, you could see a professional at work. He knew how to change speeds, work the batters, and on good days hit his spots that kept batters off balance. True, there were some games where he just didn't have major league stuff, but I was hoping an off-season with a good strength coach might make him even more effective, maybe even lightning in a bottle (which we need). I guess we'll see how he does with the Orioles.
  12. The Orioles are picking up Teheran on a minor league deal. I wish we would have given him another shot.
  13. I have you ask: Are YOU Craig Coun$ell?
  14. Looks like Abner was touched up a little today.
  15. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you appear to be still typing too. Take the L. Let's move on.
  16. Let's compare two rich guys, Coun$ell to Herb Kohl: Ted Davis More on Herb Kohl’s commitment to Milwaukee. He told me that during the Sale of the Bucks Steve Ballmer called to ask what was the highest bid? It was $550 Million from Lasry-Edens. Ballmer offered $1 Billion but he would move the Team to Seattle. Herb Kohl’s said no. 12:14 PM · Dec 28, 2023 https://x.com/nbated/status/1740435959974699421?s=20
  17. David Ross was pure class about how all that went down. His bizarre rant about the Brewers roof, on the other hand . . .
  18. I can. And do.
  19. I don't mind that he went for the money. But 1) to go to the Cubs. That is pretty rotten. And 2) his self-justification that he was helping other managers by raising the pay-bar, but in the process getting one fired. He really showed his true character with that one.
  20. I'm not sure why people are upset at Coun$ell. I've watched him for years and I think I know the man pretty well. He doesn't care about money. He's got plenty in his bank account. More important, he's way too loyal to take the job with the Mets.
  21. Who has reported that he may be available October 1?
  22. Robots. Wait. Too early?
  23. I want to hear more from the sabermetric internet baseball experts here about how Counsell is too loyal to go to the Mets.
