  1. I would not give up the spot to Tellez. Winker brings a little more to the playoff table. Despite last night, his batting average as a pinch hitter is very high. But I will say that Tellez does sometimes show up when the lights are one, e.g., World Baseball Classic. But really, it's hard to say -- a pitcher makes a mistake, a hitter guesses the right pitch. You never know what will happen.
  2. Justin Verlander has a playoff record of 16-11 with an ERA of 3.64. Max Scherzer has a playoff record of 7-7 with an ERA of 3.58.
  3. I see what you're saying. But it's worth noting that even Verlander/Scherzer are sometimes not prime Verlander/Scherzer. They've both lost plenty in the postseason.
  4. Let's be honest. Gallen is going to be super tough tomorrow. But there's a reason we play the games.
  5. I can't remember him having a good at-bat tonight. He'll need to do better tomorrow.
  6. Yep. The fans of very single team will have doom and gloom anger on their bulletin chat boards about players and manager. Except one.
  7. He gave it all he had, but he had a bad day. It happens in sports.
  8. The same doom and gloom, though. Every time. Our stars let us down tonight. It's a brand spanking new day tomorrow.
  9. Every time we lose, there is so much doom and gloom on this chat message discussion board forum. It's two out of three.
  10. A very poorly played game. Tomorrow is a new day and I expect the team will play a lot better.
  11. Bottom line: We didn't play our best tonight. But we still have a chance.
  12. I can imagine what would happen if someone did that to a Pedro Martinez team.
  13. In theory, we get ahead and our pitching wins the game for us. Burnes wasn't what we needed today.
  14. I am going to the game tomorrow. I demand superior results for my ticket dollar.
  15. Too bad the pitcher doesn't bat anymore. I would plunk that guy.
  16. We are swinging at so many pitches out of the zone. Little plate discipline.
  17. He’s making a lot of mistakes. Not hitting his spots.
