  1. Detroit's defense is not going to hold up in the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised if they lost to the Bucs in the first round if that's the matchup.

  3. I didn't think I'd be posting on this thread so early, but it occurs to me that we really need to reassess our receiving corps. It was a great story last year when down the stretch everyone was contributing to the point where it was almost impossible to defend against the passing game. This year though, the position has regressed. Reed has practically disappeared in the second half unless you want to count jet sweeps. Wicks, Melton and Heath are just guys right now, and Watson can't stay healthy. Doubs has been somewhat steady but he's no legitimate #1. I believe I saw somewhere that they lead the league in drops. Gute really needs to find a legit #1 in the offseason, whether by draft, free agency or trade. I wouldn't be against bringing Adams back. Take a look at the NFC playoff field as of now. With the exception of Washington, every single team has at least, at least, two receivers on their team that are better than anyone the Packers have. (I'm counting Godwin in Tampa even though he's been out for half the season. Not sure on his status for the playoffs.)
  4. I began to wonder about it weeks ago. His injury wasn't so severe that it should keep him out six weeks. He's been practicing but somehow still can't play in a game? And his personality doesn't exactly scream team first either. Players play through injury all the time, especially at this point of the season. Why can't he? It's either he's got a low threshold for pain, or he's just not interested in playing for whatever reason., at least not in the regular season. His team sure could've used him yesterday. I'm just ready to move on from him. Trade him and get some draft capital.
  5. They're already whispering the same thing in Buffalo. If they don't make it to at least the AFCCG, McDermott may not survive. He may even need a Super Bowl appearance.
  6. The Rams aren't a pushover but it's certainly the preferred first round matchup. They're on a five game winning streak but only one of those is a quality win and in the last three struggled to beat the likes of the 49ers, Jets and Cardinals. It also would not be a home field advantage for them as Packer fans would take over Sofi.
  7. Does anyone think Dallas can beat Washington without Lamb? Their defense will have to play out of their minds.
  8. Atlanta is the second team in as many days to get burned chickening out on the two point conversion.
  9. There is no way the Packers can lose to the Bears. None.
  10. I mean Morris. Guess I'm still thinking Quinn coaches the Falcons.
  11. Did Quinn leave two timeouts in his pocket or just one? One is bad enough. Two is a firable offense.
  12. It's just mind boggling to me how professional football coaches can suck so bad at clock management. It's practically a leaguewide problem.
  13. Is it just me or do teams really love to keep time outs in their pocket?
  14. Key word was probably.
  15. Maybe not.
  16. Wow! Atlanta probably just lost the game on that snap.
  17. The NFL needs to reseed the playoff format to where the teams with the better records always have the higher seeds. If you win your division that's fine, you qualify for the playoffs, but they shouldn't be rewarded with a home game if the teams that didn't win their division still have a better record than you.
  18. It was still a win despite it defying all logic.
  19. They definitely should get all the credit in the world for beating every team they were supposed to beat. Unfortunately, we won't be playing any of those teams in the playoffs. If they somehow hang on to the six seed they'll be playing a fully loaded Rams offense this time around. Right now that game is a toss up to me. Despite having a third place schedule next year, it will still be tougher than the one they've played this season as they will be playing the AFC North and NFC East, possibly a reloaded San Francisco and I think Denver as the 17th game.
  20. Again I have to ask, what's this team's signature win this year? The Rams with no Cupp and Nacua? The Texans, who have been pretty mediocre ever since with Stroud regressing from last year? The Seahawks with Geno Smith? I wish we could post polls on this forum.
  21. It looks like there are only six teams that have a realistic chance of winning the Super Bowl. The Chiefs, Bills, Ravens, Lions, Vikings and Eagles.
  22. You can literally use the "if one or two things were different" argument about damn near every NFL game. They're just excuses. As I already said, there are no more moral victories anymore. In all five of those games, it was clear we were the inferior team. You can't dig yourself into massive holes against elite teams and count on a furious comeback to win. Those games weren't as close as the scores would indicate. Maybe with another year of experience under their belts and a good offseason by Gutey to fill some holes in free agency we'll be elite next year, but it's pretty clear to me that right now the Packers are a second tier team that won't go any farther than they did last year.
  23. 0-5 against the three best teams in the conference proves the Packers are pretenders. There are no moral victories.
  24. Another classic too little too late game. Just like the last time we played them. They took advantage of our aggressiveness that drive.
  25. Good grief, Love, you can't take a sack there.
