Painter has only made one Elite 8 as well. Very overrated coach. However, this was a very flawed team. Without Edey they don't even make the dance.

Is this the first year a 1 and 2 has gone down in the first round? It has to since this is the only the second time a 1 has lost to a 16.

I'd be hard pressed to remember another first round that has been as competitive as this year's has been, especially the huge underdogs.

Nice gut check win. Vermont wouldn't go away and Kolek in foul trouble didn't help, but Cam and company able to pull away late.

Who lit the fire under Cam? He's stepped up big time with Kolek on the bench scoring 18 straight for the team.

The Celtics lose to Houston so that evens out with us. Certainly didn't stay up to watch the game but saw the highlight of the scuffle at the end of the game. Good on Lopez standing up for Giannis after a cheap shove by Lyles.

College Umpire Suspended After Stike-call to End Game

Umpires should have a longer leash when calling college games. These are still young kids, some still teenagers, that haven't fully matured yet. I wouldn't have had a problem if the umpire ejected him after the second strike, but what he ultimately did is beyond inexcusable. -
Well, Texas should make it past the first round this year.

I don't see any #1s making it it to the Final Four. I haven't made my picks yet, but at best one makes it.

That's what I'm thinking, that Purdue won't even make it to the Elite 8. I see them going out against Duke and I wouldn't be shocked if they lose to Memphis in the second round, whom I'll be rooting for because my girlfriend's daughter goes to school there. Until they get to Marquette of course.

Marquette a #2 get Vermont in the first round and get the winner of Michigan St./USC. I like we got in the Purdue region as I don't see the Big 10 doing much this year.

I was late to the party, not getting to turn the game on until late in the first half. I see they are dominating the game and smiling ear to ear. Xavier then proceeds to go on a 9-0 run and I had to turn the game off until there's one minute left. Whatever it takes I guess. Anyway, make whatever argument for any other team, but you just cannot seed the undisputed Big East champions lower than a 2.

No matter what happens tomorrow, this game should seal a #2 seed for the tournament. All the "experts" have been looking for an excuse to bump them down to a 3. Still getting no respect for the Big East champs.

Anyway, I didn't see the game and didn't start following on gamecast until 3 minutes left in the second half so was it that St. Johns brought their A game today or was it us playing dumb basketball with the inexplicable fouling in crunch time with a lead?

LOL at the Badgers getting their clock cleaned by tOSU. Maybe now the fans will quit lying to themselves about getting into the dance like they have the past three weeks. If they're lucky, and I mean really lucky, they'll get a play in game.
