  1. Enjoyed the Podcast this morning (I listen to the Sandbox 1st and then go back to the beginning.) I agree that if anyone can get to Appleton to see those 5 kids, they should do so. I'd be interested in your comments from my observations from the game I saw this week. Made and Fischer are legit, really obvious talents. Adamczewski DH'd that night. He has a very solid, impressive approach at the plate. I was interested to see Dinges' defense, and it seemed decent to solid. Pena a really, really tough night, maybe this jump to A+ is a bit quick for him? Fischer, Made and Dinges should be able to handle AA at some point (probably early) next year, Adamczewski too, though maybe later in the year. Pena may spend more time at A+ than the other 4. I understand they like to keep Made and Pena together, but eventually each kid has to be allowed to develop at their own pace.
  2. Great for Miz! My initial thought was too much, too soon. Stuff like this can overwhelm many who are not ready to handle the added attention. I personally was thrust into some things at an early age. Upon reflection, I really wish I had taken a more conventional, steady path. I had the ability, but not the moxie that comes with time.
  3. Already there, and it's great! Recommend it to all Brewer Fans!
  4. Help me out here. I thought if Vaughan gets called up, he'd become a free agent at the end of the year. If he stays down the rest of the year, they keep him one more year. Seems to me Dalbec is playing well enough to be a short term fill in. Vaughan was called up by called up by ChiSox too early in his development. A full year of AAA might help unleash his potential. A good chance to be taken by a small market team?
  5. All valid points. One important thing not yet brought up is the fact that Adames is a really important leader in the clubhouse. Putting his locker next to Chourio's would seem pretty smart to me. This team just lost solid vets Burnes, Woodruff, Tellez, Caratini. Players who knew what it takes to be a successful pro on and off the field. Starting with last year, this group got really young, really fast. Now Counsell is gone too. Comp Pick may be just fine for compensation. or maybe a trade deadline decision here.
  6. A few thoughts as I read these posts: I'm wondering if Wiemer is even in MLB to start the year. He was slated to start last season in the minors and let's not forget he ended the year getting a few at bats in the minors. He was really only in the majors last year due to injuries within the system. He certainly played well at times, but eventually holes in his game were exposed. He is an MLB talent, but a year tearing up AAA could only be healthy. If Chourio plays a better CF than Mitchell .... then, DANG that's special. Let's not forget Perkins was a solid extra outfielder last year as well, with plus speed. Total flexibility throughout the lineup this year. Both Yelich and Hoskins will DH a lot.
  7. I think they have Contreras' ABs about 100 short. He'll be the RH DH platoon with Winker When not catching. Plus his power stroke is to RF, so the short porch will help his OPS. I think they're 5, 6 HRs short on Contreras.
  8. If stolen bases come back into vogue in '23, Ruiz may get a serious look.
