I'm at my parents place in Dodgeville - 45 min SW of Madison and I have ESPN - no blackout. Very strange. I guess thats not "driving distance" to Milwaukee so I wouldnt go to the game anyway if it was blackedout?? Anyway great catch by Helms, I personally am glad to see him getting some playing time. (Helms - don't make me regret saying that!)
I think if we bring in our closer, doesnt apply in this situation, but we should bring in hardy at ss, hall at 3b and miller at catcher to give the best defense to our closer - if they aren't in already.
WES HELMS BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Very nice, but...where was that last night http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif That's alright, good to see him doing something.
No kidding on the smallest game thread. Maybe everyone decided to boycott like i thought about doing because of the bad outings as of late. Then I decided I can't do that, especially with my boy on the mound.
Off topic of the game, but with the commercial I thought of a discussion me and my friend had. Is the "official" rally cap suppose to be forward or backward? Obviously it doesn't "really" matter but I always thought forward and he thought backwards.
I'm really looking forward to this game as well!! Gonna go and buy bleacher seats or maybe terrace reserves. Gotta take advantage of that college id deal while I can! Sheets is gonna have a great game!
Obvious man says, gotta improve that risp average. How many of our runs have been off homers? Not a problem if we keep winning, but I dont want to rely on being a longball team.
I'm just glad it isn't on tv, because I can be productive while listening to the radio but not while watching tv. It is amazing how I can hate these guys so much while they are playing like crap and then 2 hours after they are done playing be so excited for the next game (even if they lose)
We've had real trouble completing double plays early this season. I know that was a slow roller but it does seem like a dominant theme. Hopefully they will prove me wrong and get one here and get out of this inning.
I also have been really impressed with JJ's plate discipline this year. It has looked real good for a young player, I think Darron and Bill were talking about that yesterday. I think we can pull off a big win today before heading home tomorrow.
