  1. I'm gonna go ahead and predict that Ben Sheet will get his first hit of the season today. I can feel it.
  2. This is exactly how I feel Rluz. I'm used to thinking "Hmmm, OK if we somehow sweep this series and the Cards and Reds get swsept, we'll be back in the division race (which was like 4 games back or something). It's kind of nice so far this year.
  3. Kate Sheaks (DePaul) 25% Katie Martin (Missouri State) 22% Lindsey Gerheim (Army) 20% Pulling away... Go Kate!
  4. Along the same lines as the "when have the brewers been 6 over .500" question - When is the last time the Brewers have led the Division by 3.5 games?
  5. I agree RobDeer. There has been a lot of negative talk abotu Ned for a while. He showed yesterday that he has some idea of whats going on out there.
  6. "I'm sure I wasn't the only one here that had a lump in his throat on every Villy pitch, though. That Cubs line-up is just stacked with dangerous hitters. Of course, the Brewers proved that their line-up isn't chopped liver, either." I don't think that was because it was Villy pitching...more the fact that one swing of the bad could end it at any period of time when he was pitching. It was crazy how for 4 innings every pitch we threw could have ended the game except for ONE. And that was Turnbow's first pitch that Derek Lee shot into center field. Every other pitch gave the cubs a chance to walk off the field the winners. Wow. Enough about yesterday in todays thread.....Let's talk about Rich Hill. Well, here is what Cubs fans have to say about him today.: "I got a bad feeling, Hill's got us all excited and when we get excited about something it usually slaps us back down to earth real quick like." Or here is the cubs fan guess at the outcome of todays game: "Rich Hill throws a perfect game on 64 pitches, but the Cubs were penalized with a negative point when Ronny Cedeno followed his third HR of the season by running the bases backward and returning to the Brewers' dugout. They lose -1-0" Let's bring the bats tonight against Hill and break him out of his good streak. Go Crew!
  7. There are some gems on the Cubs message boards: "when are people going to look and see the same things happening with the cubs that have always happened to cubs teams--you know, things that absolutely never happen to other teams and admit that there could be something to curses? the cubs can't win because they are cursed, people, they are cursed cursed cursed. they will never win in that ballpark no matter who they have. they've assembled a team full of past winners and still they can't win. this team is cursed." Ha. I love it!
  8. The only reason I am awake right now is to see any clip from Lous post game interviews. And maybe because I can't sleep because of that game that just happened!
  9. While everyone is giving props I will give props to our little man . . . Tony Gwynn Jr. with a big pinch hit RBI to drive in the second run. Without that we aren't as happy as we all are right now. And props to everyone else that people have giving props to!!
  10. I agree with you 100% and I always tell myself this in games like this.....but then when we lose by a run or 2 I get pissed anyways. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  11. Brian, I just turned the game on.....what did he do? or not do?
  12. Make it 3-1 Padres going into the bottom of the 2nd.
  13. No TV again today for people outside Milwaukee?? Sheesh...this is getting really lame.
  14. Did I just see a post praising Ned Yost? Weird.
  15. And that's why you aren't the GM of a major league baseball team.
  16. Good call looking for a bar in Madison . . . any La Crosse folks know of a bar that may have the game tonight?
  17. I do miss Carlos Lee's playful attitude while playing baseball. He just fake threw the third out into the left field bleacher in Chicago. He got boo-ed big time. I love it.
  18. Just watching the Scrubs on WGN and figured I'd throw a thread up here for non-crew games. Biggio opened with a double against Lilly, then Burke doubled it drive him in for the first run of the game.
  19. http://www.people.fas.harvard.edu/~lipoff/friends/artistic/A%20Bush.jpg I don't know why, but I felt like adding some "picture karma" for the in game thread today. I decided a nice picture of a bush would fit very nicely. Go Bush! Go Brewers! Edit: Is there a way I can make it smaller?
