    Hey - as Damien said himself after the game says: "Let the kids play. At the rate I'm going now, I'm having success playing once or twice a week. Why change?" I think I'm outta here at 4ish. I can't take much more of this. We'll see how fast the game makes the day go.

    Ok, work is a major drag today. Slow as it has ever been - being a day before a (badly placed) holiday. I've been waiting since about 1:30 for this game to start and it seems to be about 6 hours since then. This game needs to get on its way.

    I'm got my ticket for free from a bunch of cub fans, so I'll be going with them. I may need to head to the bathroom just to keep my sanity. But rest assured: any hairy situations after about the 6th or 7th innings, I'll be heading to the disgusting rooms they call restrooms at Wrigley!

    I'm by no means ripping on you personally with this comment. But I love baseball . . because two weeks ago people were calling for Graffy to get cut from the team for good. Now we are banking on him to hit a walk-off HR. The Ups and Downs and swings of baseball make me love the game so much. You never know what is gonna happen!

    I know Ortiz played for the Timber Rattlers back in the day and also has a house of some sorts in the Apple-ton area. He met his wife here in Wisconsin. I don't know if that has anything to do with why he had a hat, but it might.

    I agree. Ueker was also talking about this. Right before Estrada hit his slam Ueker was saying over and over "Listen to this crowd!"

    Ball Game - Cubs lose in Cubs fashion. I love it. = Tie game, bottom of the ninth. Loften on second with one out. Ground ball to the pitcher. Pitcher gets Loften in a run down between 2nd and 3rd. However, he throws to second too late and Loften gets back to second. Runners on 1st and 2nd - next batter singles to right....ball game. And the world rejoices.
