  1. Perhaps a bit of semantics, but also perhaps a nod to expanded responsibilities beyond the draft: Tod Johnson, former "Vice President - Domestic Scouting" is now "Vice President - Amateur Acquisition"
  2. Duly noted and thank you for your post. Not sure if you are typing out your posts or using a voice transcriber, but you have wondered about the reactions to some of your contributions. The length of the posts, especially the mega-paragraphs, is off-putting and will have readers glossing over your thoughts, which in smaller and less repetitive presentations, could be very worthwhile. Your enthusiasm is to be commended, but in some cases (OK, many cases), less is more. Go Brewers!
  3. Signed as an undrafted free agent in January 2023, then BrewersPD highlighted him in his lone season as shown above. He missed all of last season and won't be available until mid-2025. I'm not sure where (or why until he is back on a mound) the team would specifically comment on him since the moment of surgery. Who is the "they" you refer to?

  5. Thursday 2/20: Via Dom Cotroneo's "WTMJ Spring Training Notebook": "The first spring training broadcast is the opener on Saturday here on WTMJ at 2:10 PM CST and marking the first Brewer game since Bob Uecker’s passing. With many reminders around the ballpark of Bob’s legacy, Jeff Levering prepares for a new era of Brewers baseball on the radio." Via the Fan Milwaukee's "Wisconsin Sports Daily Show" with Steve "Sparky" Fifer: "Audacy MLB Insider Bob Nightengale discusses his article detailing Brewers Owner Mark Attanasio's priorities as an MLB owner. 6. *** Shears (Tommy John surgery, March 2024) only pitched as a pro in 2023 thus far. Find his game log here. The longest of his 41 relief outings split between Carolina and Wisconsin has been 2.1 innings, accomplished three times. With an MiLB TV subscription (highly suggested), you can pull up specific games, such as this July 4th Timber Rattlers home game vs. Beloit in which Shears went 2.1 hitless innings, pitching through the 8th, striking out four and walking one. As it was a home game, the Wisconsin YouTube page has the highlight package, so go the 02:40 minute mark for Shears on the mound for three of those "Strike 3's". Based on the timing of the surgery, a July 2025 return, when he'd be 26 years and one month old, would be welcome news.
