  1. April of 2022 - Howell and C Brett Sullivan for C Victor Caratini and cash
  2. Taking his golden arm to the indy ranks for now, @Joseph Zarr
  3. A reminder that an IL placement (non 60-day) would allow for a maximum 30-day rehab stint for Woodruff.
  4. The "Gillis" pitcher listed is 24-year-old RHP Tanner Gillis, an early September 2024 non-drafted signing. Although he is still listed as "Active" on his MiLB Player Page, I've given up hope that LHP Jackson Gillis, out of Vanderbilt, is still with the organization (carried officially through the 2022 season's 60-day injured list).
  5. Thursday 3/13 Gameday at CHW: MINOR DETAILS: Over from Minor League camp: INF Eric Brown Jr. (92), INF Blake Burke (61), INF Daniel Guilarte (0), C Nick Kahle (95), OF Luis Lara (89), OF Reece Walling (97), RHP Kaleb Bowman (58), RHP Tyler Bryant (66), RHP Will Childers (99), RHP Stiven Cruz (94), RHP Blake Holub (57), LHP Tyler Jay (54), LH Josh Maciejewski (96), RHP Nick Merkel (75), RHP Garrett Stallings (68) and LHP Grant Wolfram (73). *** This is RHP Stiven Cruz' first appearance with the big-leaguers this spring. You may remember that he was not given permission to travel overseas last month to help Nicaragua qualify for the 2026 WBC. We will update as to who made appearances in this game later tonight.
  6. Jesus Made gets the headline but come for the Luis Lara, Eduardo Garcia and Jack Hostetler (!) storylines via Tom Flanagan
  7. Tuesday 3/11: Via WTMJ's Midday News (download link): "Brewers Extra Innings Host Dom Cotroneo gives the latest weekly update from Spring Training, including DST, inside daily press conferences, trimming the roster, and how one player is celebrating his 21st birthday." Via 97.3's Mike Heller Show (Hour Three): Infielder Caleb Durbin Via "The Bill Michaels Show" (Hour Two): Chuck Freimund (go to the 29:00 minute mark) Via Dom Cotroneo's "WTMJ Brewers Weekly": - "Dom assesses where the Brewers position battles stand with two weeks to go in Spring Training including highlighting the best performers of Cactus League play so far. Also, he sits down with pitching prospect Chad Patrick as he prepares to start the season in AAA to follow up his International League Pitcher of the Year title. During the 2024 season, Patrick went 14-1 with a 2.90 ERA. There's plenty of audio from Pat Murphy, Aaron Ashby, and Jose Quintana to bring you into the clubhouse!" Via the "Cold Brew Podcast": "Dave Gasper and Matt Carroll break down the latest news out of Milwaukee Brewers spring training, including injuries to pitchers and their recovery timelines, a Brandon Woodruff update, the Prospect Breakout roster and prospects showing out in camp." Locked on Brewers with Chuck Freimund - "Woodruff Keeps Progressing for the Brewers" *** Wednesday 3/12: Via 97.3's "The Steve Czaban Show" (Hour Three): Jeff Levering
  8. RH reliever Jaye Chapman: 2015-16 Brewers farmhand with Biloxi and Colorado Springs
  9. Tuesday 3/11 Gameday at CHC: MINOR DETAILS: Over from Minor League camp: INF Filippo Di Turi (94), INF Eduardo García (92), C Eric Martínez (0), 1B Ernesto Martinez Jr. (86), OF Demetrio Nadal (89), OF Kay-Lan Nicasia (88), INF Cooper Pratt (87), 2B/C Anthony Seigler (83), RHP Tyler Bryant (66), LHP Josh Maciejewski (58), RHP Evan McKendry (57), RHP Sam McWilliams (84) and RHP Garrett Stallings (68) *** First day in big-league camp for Di Turi, Nadal and Eric Martinez. Martinez has spent four years in the complex leagues, three in the Dominican, and 2024 in Maryvale. He turns 21 on April 6th and certainly hopes to be in Carolina for that birthday. Di Turi K'd in his lone at-bat in the DH spot. The 20-year-old Nadal pinch-ran, it was his first game action since August 21st, 2023, as he wrapped up an All-Star season in the DSL (.342/.478/.525 - 1.003 OPS). That was his second DSL campaign. The reason for his extended injury absence was not made public. In his first spring at-bat, the switch-hitting Nicasia pulled a line-drive RBI single to right off the Cubs' fine reliever Porter Hodge.

  13. Monday 3/10 Gameday vs. SEA: MINOR DETAILS: Over from Minor League camp: INF Luke Adams (96), INF Eric Brown Jr. (92), INF Wes Clarke (97), OF Yhoswar García (89), INF Cooper Pratt (87), OF Garrett Spain (98), INF Jheremy Vargas (94), C Yannic Walther (93), INF Brock Wilken (95), RHP Kaleb Bowman (58), RHP Chase Costello (57), RHP Blake Holub (66), RHP Nick Merkel (75) and RHP Zach Peek (54) *** As noted above, an OK outing for Kaleb Bowman on paper, but... Seattle Mariners Waiting on X-Rays for Backup Catcher Mitch Garver Mariners manager Dan Wilson said that the team is still waiting to find out whether or not Garver has any damage in his hand/wrist area after leaving Monday's game with a hit-by-pitch.
  14. Monday 3/10 Gameday vs. SEA: MINOR DETAILS: Over from Minor League camp: INF Luke Adams (96), INF Eric Brown Jr. (92), INF Wes Clarke (97), OF Yhoswar García (89), INF Cooper Pratt (87), OF Garrett Spain (98), INF Jheremy Vargas (94), C Yannic Walther (93), INF Brock Wilken (95), RHP Kaleb Bowman (58), RHP Chase Costello (57), RHP Blake Holub (66), RHP Nick Merkel (75) and RHP Zach Peek (54) *** First camp game for Brock Wilken, also for Yhoswar Garcia and Yannic Walther. Walther has been playing for Germany's (unsuccessful) qualifying attempt at a 2026 WBC team slot. We'll update later on, but the link is available "live" above for now.
  15. Don’t remember this at all. Guess will have to hit the Google machine.
  16. Sunday 3/9: Via the Journal Sentinel Podcast: "Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe try to arrive at 13 pitchers and 13 position players for the 2025 Milwaukee Brewers, and there aren't as many spots up for grabs as you might think. Is there any chance for phenom reliever Craig Yoho to make the cut? What about the late veteran signings Mark Canha and Manuel Margot? Is Jake Bauers a lock to make the roster? Is there still a move forthcoming to make this whole thing work? What are some of the biggest stories Curt has been following in his first week in Arizona?"
  17. Sunday 3/9 Gameday at KC: MINOR DETAILS: Over from Minor League camp: INF Luke Adams (96), INF Blake Burke (99), OF Luis Castillo (94), INF Eduardo García (88), INF Daniel Guilarte (0), INF Jesús Made (92), 1B Ernesto Martinez Jr. (86), OF Bladimir Restituyo (97), OF Yophery Rodríguez (89), RHP Kaleb Bowman (58), RHP Sam McWilliams (84), RHP Zach Peek (66) and RHP Justin Yeager (57). *** Listing Martinez, Jr. is a technicality as he's now back in minor league camp. You'll find Rodriguez' base on balls and a Luke Adams error that led to an unearned run in the 9th. Otherwise, rather quiet (0-for-3 in the combined various official at-bats).
