Wisconsin Timber Rattlers placed RHP Quinton Low on the 7-day injured list. Milwaukee Brewers signed free agent OF Heeju Shin to a minor league contract. Low's recent injury (line drive to the face) was discussed in a recent Link Report. Shin's signing out of South Korea was covered in our Draft and International Signings Forum.

I moved Sunday "exiting the game" updates on Eduardo Garcia and Braylon Payne to this spot, though hopefully both notes won't warrant future injury concerns.

From Sunday's Link Report (Biloxi's game) We’ll have to monitor 20-year old OF Braylon Payne’s status, as he exited in the top of the 9th inning after his fly out and an “injury delay” notation in the game log half an inning earlier. In potentially positive news, OF Josh Adamczewski was the player who entered for Payne, which is the first we’ve seen Adamczewski in action since Wednesday’s contest. For MiLB TV archive subscribers, go to the 03:51:30 hour/minute mark. Payne skied out to center on the 2-2 pitch but barely left the box after the swing. Payne is seen trying to stretch out his left calf with the training staff. Voice of the Shuckers Javik Blake reacted as I did initially in hoping this was nothing more than a calf cramp, Javik making note of the gametime 89 degree temperature. Obviously that was just an observational comment, and not a definitive injury note. Hopefully we'll see Payne back in the lineup tonight.

From Sunday's Link Report (Nashville's game) SS Eduardo Garcia exited after singling in the 3rd inning, with 2B Eric Brown Jr. coming on in relief. Hopefully Garcia will return to action quickly. Watched the archive, because initially thought perhaps there was a pickoff attempt and Garcia was injured in that manner, but no. If anything, there was no apparent physical impairment as Brown came in to pinch-run, perhaps it was illness-related.

Via the Warbirds: SS Brady Ebel and RHP Joshua Quezada transferred to Wisconsin SS Trey Ebel, RHP Wenderlyn King and RHP Andrew Gaines transferred to Wilson from ACL Brewers *** Gaines, the 10th round pick out of St. Joseph's, will make his formal pro debut when he enters a game.
