  1. Big league camp invites, which always help entice signatures on minor league deals --
  2. Here's Eddys Leonard being fooled badly in recent October Dominican Winter League action by Brewers recent waiver claim LHP Sammy Peralta. Better AB here: This is pretty: Recent detailed article here:
  3. Eddys Leonard just turned 25 years old on Monday. Signed by the Dodgers as an international free agent out of the Dominican Republic in July of 2017 for $200,000, he was selected to LA's 40-man roster in November of 2021. He was optioned in both 2022 and 2023, but never did make an MLB debut, as he was DFA'd in July 2023 and subsequently traded to the Tigers for cash. Detroit kept Leonard on optional assignment for all of 2024, so he has burned through all three of his option years. DFA'd by Detroit in November 2024, he quickly re-signed a minor league deal with the Tigers. Detroit released Leonard at the tail end of spring training this past spring and he was scooped up by Atlanta three days later. Leonard saw plenty of action with AAA Gwinnett for the Braves in 2025, but was a minor league free agent as of a few days ago. As Leonard's linked Baseball Reference page above will show, the versatile Dominican RH bat shows occasional pop throughout his career, and has posted a AAA line of .265/.348/.452 (.800 OPS), 38 HR's in 233 games at he minors' highest level. He's primarily a 2B/3B/LF in 2025, but with SS on his resume in prior seasons. Spring Training 2024: Spring Training 2023:

Monday 11/10: Latest Milwaukee Tailgate Podcast - "On this week's show, Jaymes, Ryan and Spencer talked everything about the Brewers roster moves last week, including declining the option on Contreras and the decision to make a qualifying offer to Woodruff, some notable changes to the coaching staff and, of course, best accounting practices." 5. Bryan Hudson was fun — for a while…
  6. Turns out that Sunday's outing was Rodriguez' last of the winter as his Dominican Winter League output was capped at 17 innings overall. As this mini three-tweet "X" conversation shows, apparently MLB teams can only deny World Baseball Classic participation if a player had been on the 60-day injured list to end the year prior, so it's quite possible Rodriguez will take part for Nicaragua.
  7. Sunday Winter Leagues - Carlos Rodriguez' 4th start not his best - 3.2 IP, 4 H (including two HR's and a double), 3 R, 2 BB, 3 K, WP, HBP. He was aided by his following reliever, who stranded two runners. New 40-man LHP Sammy Peralta allowed a solo HR in his two-thirds of an inning in the same game, on the other side of the box. Jeferson Quero walked twice as the DH in his team's 6-3 loss, while teammate Eduardo Garcia singled and walked, but had a tough day on both the basepaths and in the field at short, as the box will show.
  8. Fall Star Game Gameday American League gets the walkoff win on a sac fly. 2B Dylan O'Rae grounded out twice, LF Josh Adamczewski walked and lined a single to right field. LHP Jesus Broca - the eventful walk as mentioned above, fly out, RBI groundout, K swinging.
  9. Kind of an oddity - really not sure if there's something to read into it. 22 this year 17 in 2024 9 in 2023 League-wide, there were 573 in 2023 and 574 this year, as per the top of those links.

  11. Jeferson Quero 1-for-5, 1 R, 1 RBI in what appears to be the lone Winter League appearance Saturday. ***
  12. An update on the three Brewers still kind of in the unofficial unknown status has been placed in the Minor League Free Agency thread here.
  13. With the news that Stallings, Miller, Garcia and Rodriguez are back with the Crew for 2026, I think we can very safely assume that Jimenez is as well, that seems evident from his AFL placement. Another assumption would be that Bukauskas signed for 2026 upon the Brewers initiating his full-season rehab back in March. That would be nice news. Eventually we'll learn the status of Nava, the longtime Philly farmhand who played in 19 games for the Timber Rattlers after his July 17th "really need a backstop" acquisition for cash on July 17th. I'm going to "unpin" this thread from the top of this forum, but we can use it to announce when these 2025 contributors sign elsewhere, as many will.
  14. Now that he's re-signed with the Brewers, we can start following Eduardo Garcia's Dominican League performances, made easier in that he shares box scores with Lara teammate Jeferson Quero. Garcia's line is within his Baseball Reference page, and other than being 1-for-4 in SB attempts, he's doing fine. He has started 11 games at short, and two at third. We've been touting Quero's remarkable work, though it's safe to say Friday wasn't a great night. Not only at the plate, but in the SB against mark - darn, not getting help from his pitchers. Get 'em tonight, Jeferson!
  15. Old friend OF Carlos D. Rodriguez lost his surprising 40-man roster spot with Atlanta having not cracked the big leagues for a debut in 2025. He’s a minor league free agent now after posting weak numbers in his one Braves minor league season. He’ll turn 25 in December.
