  2. With this update, we will close this thread on a celebratory note and will look forward to the future Frank Cairone updates focused on the baseball diamond. Certainly, whether later this year or next, there will be feature articles, interviews, etc., but for now, thanks to Brewers fans for the thoughts and prayers!
  3. If unfamiliar, the January posts thru earlier this month on the topic of Cairone's serious injury in a December car crash and subsequent updates can be found here.
  4. Sorry, corrected this link from the prior post: Via Fox Sports 920 Milwaukee's "The Huddle": Brewers reporter Hunter Baumgardt (go to the 20:45 minute mark)
  5. Pretty sure most of you will get at least one free Post-Crescent article, the second link is in video form:
  6. Via Ro's Thursday night Link Report: 19-year old Wilson starting RHP Enniel Cortez, who was making his 3rd appearance since missing the entire 2025 season with an injury, unfortunately exited after 1 1/3 innings with an accompanying “injury delay” in the game log. We hope that there’s been no physical setback for the young hurler. Cortez wasn't long for that 2nd inning of the game, as five runs were in and there was only one out. However, the exit was injury-related as the training staff came out to the mound and were checking out what appeared to be the biceps area of the 19-year-old Nicaragua native's right arm. Of course, that's also very close to the elbow. Cortez did not appear to be in significant pain, but of course caution was taken. This will go in the category of "we'll see"... MiLB.TV subscribers can watch the sequence at the 01:27:00 minute mark here. NOTE: The Wilson broadcast picture quality is excellent, but watching a game without any kind of score bug is a real challenge. Brought me back to my 1970's childhood! I've asked Voice of the Warbirds Chris Edwards for an update in that regard.

  13. Via the Sounds: LHP Thomas Pannone reinstated from the Injured List RHP Junior Fernandez acquired from the Arizona Diamondbacks & placed on the Development List Fernandez signed as a minor league free agent with the DBacks in January but had yet to make his 2026 debut. He last pitched in the majors in 2022 with STL (his longtime original club) and a brief stint in Pittsburgh. Fernandez has since pitched in the minors with four other organizations, as B-Ref indicates, mostly in relief stints.
  14. Via the Shuckers; OF Jordyn Adams has been reinstated from the 7-Day Injured List. The active roster now stands at 27 players (28 is the maximum).
  15. Gotta be careful how many prospect diehards you think are in greater Wilson, it's tiny. Fans are there for the new stadium and experience. It was a school night, if the Friday-thru-Sunday crowds are in a similar 1,100-ish range, that'd be a surprise (and disappointment).
