WOW!!!!!!!!!! Parra with a complete game shutout. 9 k's HE'S BACK!!!!!!

looks like Parra with another solid outing. Time for a move soon I think. Hart with a great night. Josh W with what looks like some solid innings. I hope the Jeff Farsnworth experiment is over. Can someone give me some positive spin on huntsville, man are they disappointing.

Nelson is the best player on the team IMO. Prince is next and his age has a lot to do with it. I think everyone but Nelson should stay at AA next year, unless Prince really heats up in the second half.

geez, how long is huntsvilles game gonna last? Ive been checking sportsnetwork for an hour and its been in the ninth inning the whole time.

correction on Mike Jones, he did NOT face the minimum. He started the 4th and gave up two hits before housman came in and proceeded to give up the runs that Mike earned tonight. just thought you all should know. He pitched very well through three. one of the hits he gave up in the fourth was a swinging bunt that barnwell couldnt make a play on.

well, whomever started the first Indy game is getting rocked. 9 runs in two innings. Hopefully it isnt Liriano.

well, i dont think overall the minor league teams look like crap, but besides hd and beloit to certain degree, our two top teams do look like crap offensively at times. Especially Huntsville. However, Im gonna stay calm about it. Huntsville is filled with a lot of first year guys, prince, rickie, tony, Nelson to a degree, and filled with guys who will prolly never make it out of AA ball. I second half of the season will tell a lot more than the first half IMO.

now that Kade is off the 40 man, Im assuming that he is elgible to be taken in the Rule 5 draft next year? correct?

from what Ive heard Melvin say, hes going to AZ to start.

from JSONLINE. The Brewers plan to begin negotiating with Rogers as soon as his high school season is complete. With Rogers pitching a two-hitter and striking out 16, Mount Ararat High School in Topsham, Maine, defeated Brewer, 4-1, Tuesday evening to win the eastern Maine title and clinch a berth in the state title game Saturday. Each year, the commissioner's office makes recommendations for limits on signing bonuses for each slot in the first round. Last year, the recommendation for the fifth pick was $2.5 million and it probably is the same this time around. Zduriencik said all indications from the Rogers family and his representatives were that the 18-year-old right-hander wants to sign as quickly as possible, perhaps as early as next week. "We're feeling good about that because of conversations we had with the family prior to the draft," Zduriencik said. "And his agent indicated they would like to speed the process along. It's tremendous to hear that." Edit: Moved to Draft Forum - Toby

If Khalid Balloui is in the Power 50 next go around, theres something about him Im missing.

Im glad that two questionable defensive players aren't beating themselves up over a few mental errors in the field. Mistakes happen and their ability to laugh it off shows me that they are willing to forget about their mistake and go on with the next play. No sense in dwelling on an error. I disbelieve that an attidude like that would blemish either player as bad character guys ------------ I disagree with that statement 1000%. These guys arent cornerbacks in football where you need to forget the last play. You should NEVER laugh after making a mistake such as an error, NEVER! Thats called not concentrating or CARING enough about your game, which is easy to do when you are as talented as these two guys are. You dont see it from Tony Gwynn because he plays the game the right way, like his dad did. plus, ask any baseball manager in the game what they think of that and I guarantee theyd be highly upset.

hvillefan. I totally agree. If I lived down there Id get seats right by first base and let them have it when the pitcher is warming up between innings. These kids dont realize the chance theyve been given in life, playing baseball for millions of dollars, while guys like you and me bust are asses just to watch them and pay money to do so. I agree that senior management needs to get their asses in gear as well. Maybe Yost and Kremblas should switch places for a couple of weeks. If Yost is good at onething, its making sure things like laughing at mistakes never happens, and if it does, grab some pine.

man, its so good to see Jones back on the mound. I could care less about his results today. Im praying he can stay healthy the rest of this year. Please Frank, take it VERY VERY SLOW with Mike the rest of this year. Similar with what they are doing with Parra. Question, when are we expecting to see Diggins and Bruso?

well, lemme just clear up what cap did last time. he went three innings in Beloit and got hit around. Then me made another start and did well. Then at Indy he got crushed in his first start there so they had him make another and it was better.

good to see Rickie and Prince with 3 hits a piece tonight with Prince adding a jack.

capuano getting shelled in HD, 7 runs through 3 innings. Hart at 1st tongiht for indy, two errors.

WOW, Palmisano not in the game again tonight. Wondering whats up there. Steve Moss 4-4 with a dinger, HES OVER 200!!!!!! Im celebrating tomorrow in his honor for breaking the mendoza line finally.

I think capuano should stay in the minors til he can get through a couple of starts before hurting himself again.

I coached him his junior year and he is a great guy. Very coachable and will work hard, I have always been a Braves fan but since they drafted Yo go Brew Crew!!!! ------------ so we have you to blame for throwing 148 pitches in a game?

Looks like a good pick to me. You cant teach 94 with movement. Im concerned about the delivery though.

Im jacked about this pick. While he may not be a dominant player at the major league level, i do think he can have a successful career.
