  1. I'll co-sign with everyone who endorsed HDTV. I have a playstation 3, so I eventually needed to upgrade to HD if only because the games were created to be played in HD, and not doing so made the text unreadable and sometimes squished the picture in the 4:3 screen ratio. (16:9 widescreen is the standard for HDTVs). I bought a 32" Dynex from Best Buy at 5 AM the day after Thanksgiving for $350, and it was one of the best purchases I've ever made. I obviously had dreams of some of the bigger TVs/better brands, but I'm an 18 year old college student so the TV is plenty for what I'm using it for. I'm sort of an HD aficionado, and something I've learned and that should be kept in mind when shopping for a top class HDTV is that bigger isn't necessarily better. At the current generation of HDTVs, Sony Bravia is king, and the best size is the 42-46" range for the LCDs. They tend to have better contrast ratios and refresh rates than the TVs at the 50+ inch sizes, and if you get the 46" Sony Bravia 1080p ($2400-2600) you're pretty much getting the best picture money will get you at the moment (excluding organic light diodes, but that's another story). A lot of interesting stuff in the HD Market, and even if top of the line isn't what you need, it's cool to look at.
  2. Sports Radio 1250 WSSP is the name and call letters, www.sportsradio1250.com is the website, and it does stream online. Their post game show is usually right on the money.
  3. Heading down from the Marquette campus right now. GO BREW CREW!
  4. http://www.greatrvstuff.com/uploaded_images/broom-2-773337.jpg GO BREWERS!
  5. None of that here on 13th and Wisconsin Ave. yet.... but I'm expecting Prince and Braun to bring the thunder today.
  6. http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_ord_closeradar_plus_usen.jpg Lookin' shady right now... hopefully a window for play opens up a little after the slated first pitch time.
  7. http://image.weather.com/web/radar/us_ord_closeradar_plus_usen.jpg Current radar...
  8. Woogie, great work on the game threads as always. Good to be back. I'm anxiously sitting in class right now waiting to hear some news on the weather conditions. We can't cancel opening day, that's like canceling Christmas!!!!! GO BREWERS!
  9. Yo more talented than Benny, Martin? I don't know...
  10. ...and it begins once again. Why is McClung still on the roster?!?!
  11. Haha, I went to this year's NFC Championship Game. Believe me, I KNOW what cold is.... Either way, I'm definitely looking to support our Brewers at Wrigley.
  12. Can Jenkins take his "2 strike" approach all the time? His 0 and 1 strike approach blow.
  13. Luckily struggling for Fielder is still an .876 OPS for the month. He's not hitting HR's but he's still hitting singles and taking his walks. That's how spoiled we become, when that is struggling. Come on, Jenks. Stop hacking at everything.
  14. The second pitch to Braun was behind his back. Pitches 3 and 4 caused Braun to jump out of the way. Davey Nelson thought the pitch behind Braun's back was meant to be a brush back pitch. Brush forward? Fielder is struggling.
  15. Man Ram? http://www.jaimecervantes.netfirms.com/fotos/MannyRamirez.jpg Man-Par!!!!! http://www.brewerfan.net/images/articlepix/mparraaz.jpg
  16. Well, it's a start to being out of the slump.... I say we don't stop the pink just yet. Ride it out through the series. This is a turning point, boys. No more horsing around.
  17. 1) Griffey Jr. - Loved him since I was young. 2) Aaron Rowand - How can you not love the effort on the play in center last year? 3) Justin Verlander - Despite the Yosted lineup that night, earned my respect with WICKED stuff. 4. Vlad Guerrero - My favorite player to watch in the entire game of baseball. 5. David Ortiz - He swings a big stick, AND he's a die hard Packer fan.
  18. Time for a resurrection of Brewer baseball! Go get 'em, Claudio!
