This is where I get on to go to school in the morning, and it's really funny to see people do this. Furthermore, I'm eligible to use the HOV lane because I take my sister to school as well. Here's one that's been getting me recently... I go to school at Pius XI, on 76th and Bluemound, right by Gillie's Ice Cream. The right lane has been closed on bluemound from 84th down past 76th. Now, after driving past countless "road construction ahead" signs, the right lane closes off at the intersection of 84th (Glenview) and Bluemound. Now, the first day or two, I can accept this because road construction does not necessarily imply lane closure, but it's now been 10 days, and people will still blow down the right lane all the way up to the intersection and act "surprised" when they find out the right lane is closed. Now they put their left turn signal on and someone lets them right to the front of the line. Newsflash, if someone has the nerve to go past a stopped line of cars in the left lane at 45 mph down Bluemound to try to expedite their way to the front of the line, you don't let them in right away. I had to wait for 3 cycles of the light this morning alone.
