  1. Got to give C Rod props. He's done his job as a short term innings eater. Let's not give up on this guy...
  2. I'll admit, when Carson Benge made the opening day roster for the Mets, especially with our outfield uncertainty, I was wondering if we made the wrong pick choosing Payne. It's still early in their journey for both, but oh, how the turntables!
  3. He was stretching out his right quad after walking the first batter. After the second batter, the trainer and coach came out, and it seemed like Logan was insisting to keep pitching. He threw a few warm up pitches and then faced the next batter, and didn't seem to be struggling/laboring at all. As soon as he got that batter out, Sweet came out immediately to replace him. Didn't seem like anything too serious. Seems like he may have tweaked something, and then they let him face one more batter (to reach a pitch count?), and then took him out as a precautionary.
  4. I agree on Mitchell. He's been pretty consistent. 2 ugly K's, 1 infield hit, 1 hard knock per game.
  5. Last year was the year of Ueck. Could this year be the year of "Scrap Iron"?
  6. The Brew Crew this homestand...beautifully ugly...kind of like their City Connect jerseys!
  7. Yeah, as much as I kind of wanted to see Quero as the backup this year, getting Gary was a godsend.
  8. The Brew Crew takes back all the "boos"...We love you Trevor!
  9. Instead of Harvey's Wall Bangers...Murph's Bunters. I'll take it I guess...for now.
  10. One reason I really like ABS is how it corrects the umps. Imagine how much we/the players would be frustrated with this strike zone last year? It really affects the whole game, and takes away umpire angst.
  11. I liked the bullpen usage today. Use your better relievers on a bit of short rest to get the game today. Still have Hall, Woodford, Drohan as long men, and Uribe and Megill to shut 'em down. Great job by Woody to get almost six, and Ashby, Anderson and Zerpa to close it off. WIN TODAY, BABY!
