I have seen several posts regarding a perfect fit for the next Brewers manager. Someone fresh to the position may have some merit, but there will be growing pains. Brewers need to look outside of the organization for someone with experience to lead the team. A team that just won the division is not one that should do a complete rebuild. Mattingly has proven to be a winner, it was not his fault that the Marlins stripped the team to be a farm-league team. Hopefully, for Brewers fans, we will not have to wait years for the next playoff birth.

While I am not happy with Counsell for going to the Cubs, There may be more than meets the eye. Is it possible that he did not want any part of a rebuild? There are a lot of players that are looking for contracts and let's face it, Attanasio continues to lower payroll. The toughest contract right now is Yelich. $26M for a guy that was given a contract after 2 career years has been the Brewers downfall for a better portion of my life. It will be interesting to see what the future holds, but buckle up, it could get bumpy!
