  1. Yes. That's exactly what I mean. No, because Priester has been that good so it was reasonable to expect him to be competitive. I'm not here to argue or to be a target because I watched the first inning and felt differently than you did. Please, enjoy my ignoring you. I
  2. I think most of us are just acting like we expected Priester to put up a competitive start. Which he's been doing for months. Stuff happens. it's baseball. 4-1 isn't insurmountable. Could have been significantly worse.
  3. I wasn't expecting a sweep. I was expecting some competitive pitching. Probably will yet, just not much of it this inning.
  4. PCA's hit is now the key to the series, apparently.
  5. Can they do a round of shots before the start the second inning? lol
  6. for ****'s sake you guys. Anybody out there think they can hit the damn glove?
  7. Just all over the place with his location.
  8. Sure does. I like being aggressive but I'm pretty sure the plan wasn't to get to two strikes and then channel one for him.
  9. Hopefully Priester settles in. Location is shaky thus far
  10. Yes. The approaches were a little passive once they had traffic on the bases. Some hittable pitches went by, which contributed to the soft contact.
  11. Not going to pretend to understand it completely either but if the purpose of the rule is to prevent an intentional drop that's pretty clearly not what was happening.
  12. Could have made more of that than 1, but beats 0.
  13. I don't really have anything intelligent to add but imo this is very helpful analysis for casuals like myself. Pleasure to read too.
  14. How about Murphy man... hitting all the right buttons except for Ashby's 1st inning.
  15. Super fun thread! Go Brewers!
  16. Awful call on strike 2. Wow.
  17. I also enjoyed the fact that a Cubs fan thread broke out the "too high" quote from Major League on Vaughn's HR:
  18. The only decent length guys the Cubs have are guys they found because the Brewers found them first (Rea, Civale).
