    We'll see if that's a bluff. I've been operating off the assumption that Ashby would pitch ever game. If he goes 4 he probably doesn't pitch again until game 4.

    Have to say I agree. He's a guy I'd bring in if they're down and need innings. If he keeps you close, great.

    Greg is salty that he got played in game 1 (i.e., "they don't swing" only to see them jump on early strikes from Boyd and put up 9 runs in two innings.) I'm completely comfortable for Greg to decide it's time to show everyone how smart he is.

    pretty sure that's true; also not sure they'll need him to. the footage of his jogs down to 1B were not, in my opinion, encouraging. Looked to be favoring it coming out of the box in my opinion.

    I've got a sibling who is a season ticket holder. They were offered the chance to buy playoff tickets and took it. I get it's expensive. It's also voluntary. No one HAS to buy the seats and then flip some to finance it. That's a choice. There are plenty of 20 game package holders available to buy those seats. I'm glad the was an 85/15 split. I expect tomorrow will be a little worse as there's more time to flip the seats than there was Saturday after the Cubs advanced.

    There are no trains right now. We have who we have. And he's more productive with the bat than the alternatives imo. He had a PH RBI tonight.

    Ortiz man. IF he's up with the bases loaded in the playoffs..... just PH for him. Play Hoskins at SS for all I care, just don't let him take that AB. I don't care how due he is. lol

    it worked but starting Perkins and PH hitting for him is the exact wrong way to use Perkins, if you have the choice.

    I agree with the logic of this, but you're assuming Quintana, Hall and Megill are ready to go. I honestly don't excpect all three will be. I hope you're right! And I agree that if they are then maybe neither Gasser or Miz make the roster. I'll give you that.

    That's a good sign from Chourio. Could see it coming the last couple of days. He's just got to relax a little bit, but he's had some good at bats. This game, this series is ugly but there are a few good signs since the 3rd.
