  1. Brewers win, Cubs lose... please welcome your first place Milwaukee Brewers. This happened faster than I expected when we started the softer schedule. I'll just add that Fangraphs has our odds of winning the division at 55% and making the playoffs at 62% https://www.fangraphs.com/standings/playoff-odds I don't take these numbers too seriously, but I wish I had tracked how low they were a few weeks back. The optimism is in the rebound and the trajectory. Go Crew!
  2. While we went back-to-back I checked our RP stats before the Adames trade and after. We were ranked 20th in xFIP up to 5-21. We're ranked 11th since 5-21. It just doesn't feel that way. At least not to me
  3. I wish Kelly would break out in hives like Woogie in Something About Mary when he gives up a HR https://villains.fandom.com/wiki/Dom_Woganowski
  4. A lot of guys would look good there. We're last in Wins Above Avg at 1B Would it be accurate to say they’re first in Wins Below Average? You're ready for the broadcast booth
  5. I was thinking that as well, this game in particular. Seems like they should have caught on to the fact that he was grooving a straight fastball first pitch to get ahead in the count. Yeah, DBacks are straight up getting ahead in the count on that first pitch gambling that we have the bat on our shoulders
  6. Nah, he'd be there in time but his lead foot would be two feet off the ground and he'd get tagged out
  7. Kelly looks like Chris Elliott to me (Schitt's Creek fame.... Something About Mary Scary Movie 2).
  8. Woody settled down nicely after that leadoff HR from Rojas. Let's hope that's it, kinda like Freddy yesterday
  9. Which gives you Ben Sheets, Sheets had a year where he batted .134 and if you subtract Hiura's current average gets you to .07 and if you multiply that by some number you get a crazy conspiracy theory. yeah, that Keston isn't really Keston... its a doppelganger who can't hit
  10. Bradley is a better defender and he's left handed vs. the righty starter. It's not like Taylor has shown so much that he is a must-start. At least TT is playing above replacement value. JBJ is still under water and costing us $13M. And he's had lots of playing time to get on track
  11. I thought I heard on the radio the other day that he has a tendency to favor the short-hop throws, and they speculated it was because of the turf in TB where it was more favorable for it I hope they dont capitalize on the E. Seems Es and BBs can bite us
  12. Yeah, why put Hiura out there? It’s not like we need him in the lineup for his bat. Nothing really good could come out of it. They said Cain is hurt. Did he pull up lame on that catch?
