  1. I don't know what is going on with Contreras this season. He's proving to be a real dough head when it comes to making decisions. Have you noticed how often he challenges ball and strike calls in the 1st inning? Sometimes it's only the 3rd pitch of the game! Does he not know that you might be better off saving those challenges for later in the game or at least with 2 outs and 2 strikes? Trevor Megill looks like he's washed. I thought Uribe was going to be the closer this year.
  2. No reason why this guy is still on the best baseball team in MLB. Can't hit and his defense is getting worse not better. I can see it already. Game 7 of the world series. It's the 9th inning the Brewers are down by 1 run with 2 out and the bases loaded. They send up lil Anthony to the plate to pinch hit for Durbin who was 3 for 3 and attempting to hit for the cycle. Afterwards in a devastated Brewer clubhouse Pat Murphy tells reporters that while he's disappointed in the outcome he doesn't regret the decision because the metrics chart said it was the right move.
  3. I was there that Easter Sunday. The most exciting finish to a game that I personally witnessed since game 5 in the 1982 playoffs against the Angels which sent the Brewers to the world series. Just a side note for anyone wondering. They did in fact have color photography back in 87. The photo above looks like it's from the 50's or 60's.
  4. I don't understand why Anthony Seigler is on any major league roster much less the first place Milwaukee Brewers. He reminds me of Craig Counsell at the end of his career when he could barely hit the ball into the outfield. Then he makes a bonehead baserunning error on Sunday by over running second base and getting tagged out. Durbin should be the every day starter with Monasterio filling in for him every so often.
  5. Since he was hurt at the tail end of last season and then could only make it through 2 starts this season I am getting the feeling that Cortes elbow is fine as long as he isn't pitching. Don't know if he would even pass another team's physical at this point. Quintana might have more trade value because of that but I would doubt that he is going to bring much in return. Would like to see Logan Henderson brought back up and either tag team him with Misiorowski or use him as a late inning reliever. Does anyone know why Anthony Seigler is on the Brewers roster?
  6. I think even though it's more likely than not that at some point he will be out 12 to 18 months with TJ surgery the Brewers should at least give it a shot at extending him before he decides to hire Scott Boras as his agent which of course would kill any chance at an extension.
  7. Anything is possible of course but I don't see him being anything more than a spot starter or the designated starter in the Bryse Wilson games which would allow Jared Koenig to be available later in those games.
