  1. Sure show me the guy with 70+ grade power down there. Slap hitters with speed and defense are a good thing. Also I said mostly, AKA not EVERY player is that style but we've filled out the system with those types of guys. There are guys like Wilken but they are few and far between.
  2. I corrected after looking at fangraphs. He's still an above average fielder, which is great but he's absolutely horrendous offensively. 65 wRC+. Brewers have good defenders everywhere, their minors is mostly defensive slap hitters. My point is Joey is easily replaceable at this point
  3. My point is he's seemingly replacement level, Hall is far from anything special. Ortiz had a nice season last year and hopefully that's his norm but it's still an underwhelming package for a former CY Young pitcher. Obviously we weren't keeping him but Ortiz and Hall are both not difference makers, mostly replacement guys which is fine. We shall see what Ortiz is long term though Jury is still out.
  4. Speaking of bobbles, always thought it would be cool if they made a bobble shop at the park and have a designated area where you can trade/swap bobbles and sell/buy any previous bobbles. Would be cool on the 400 level.
  5. Yes good call, brain fart. Durbin and Cortes were for Devin. Makes my point even stronger. That's a gross package (Hall+Ortiz) for a #1 pitcher even for just a season
  6. Not sure who it could be, but we desperately need a power bat anchor. The team is playing flawless now but it's hard to always rely on stringing together hits without a true heavy hitter. We don't really have one in the minors. If Yelich didn't eat up so much DH time it would be fun to go after a big bat like Schwarber or Alonso but we know they will go to Boston and NY or LA and be overpaid for the most part. Brewers bargain bin shopping: I'd honestly go after Tyler O'Neill. He can DH and fill in the OF when needed to keep his body more fresh since he seems to always get injured. Shouldnt cost a ton and legit 30+ HR power. Ryan O'Hearn also would be a good choice, smart hitter + good fielder, versatile. Takes walks and doesn't strike out much. Plus we could put him at 1st and platoon him with Vaughn if needed. I don't think we do much aside from those types of bats, I don't see us signing a SS/3B/2B the options aren't great so they will likely have inflated price tags for the upper tier FA. Obviously we will at least a couple RP, hopefully Devin implodes in NY the second half and wants to come home haha. Otherwise just stay the course and grab value guys and develop the rest. I'd offer Woody a deal with each year having a mutual option if that's even remotely close to what he could get. If he wants a ton more let him walk. Keep Freddy unless a great offer comes up. The return for Burnes was underwhelming (edited to remove Durbins name, since Burnes was for Ortiz and Hall) I'd rather take a shot at extending him or taking the comp pick
  7. Josh Smith from the Rangers? That would be an awful haul for Peralta. Smith is 27, an average player all around at best. If that's what we net for Freddy I'll hold him
  8. Thanks for the welcoming and yes, I meant only one of those. If I meant to add each I would have used a comma or said and in between. No way would Lawlar be worth all those guys from a organizational point of view. But one or even two with Freddy should seal the deal and likely wouldn't hurt too bad since prospect hit rate is so low. That said, no guarantees for Lawlar, but AZ has handled his call ups horribly
  9. Sign me up for a Freddy + Payne/Bitoni/Adams for Lawlar. Arizona really blew it calling him up only to have him ride the bench half the time. He can take over as our 3B and Durbin can go super utility. Call up Miz for the rotation and we can have a very fun 2nd half
  10. Low risk move. Junis numbers looked good but his xERA was near 5. He hasn't pitched much at all. Weimer at this point was never going to be an OF for us in the near future and he's an older prospect now. It's not a loss in any way IMO Frankie a couple years back was great until his injury. He's probably not the answer but it's a low risk move and opens a roster spot.
