  1. I don't think anyone said it was a tear. Just an "if it is" bit o' info.
  2. Coffey! That's what I like to hear!
  3. A "beef hoagie kit" does not sound appetizing.
  4. Sheets is really pulling the string on the changeup. His fastball isn't that great tonight but when complemented with the change, it sure looks a lot better than it is. Many more changeups than curves, IIRC. Arroyo still in there? Baker'd!
  5. Terrible call. That was 3 inches inside.
  6. I thought I heard on the PA system that it was 439 feet. Looked a little farther than that.

  8. Why was Hart running a foot into the grass the whole way to first?
  9. According to the Reds announcers, it was the first time someone had been caught stealing with Sheets on the mound in two years.
  10. Braun looks like he's back on his swing.
  11. Whoa! Jason Kendall threw out Phillips at second... with Ben Sheets pitching. That's a once in a lifetime sight right there.
  12. C'mon Brauny, lower your shoulder!
  13. Sheets' ERA is going to go up some today, and he's due to give up a few home runs. The Reds have a nice lineup. I'll go 6 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 8 K, 2 HR. I hope he doesn't go too far over 100 pitches today... he's been averaging more pitches per game than I would like to see. The Brewers' lineup is about as due as it gets. I'll pick the Brewers 7-6.
  14. You might be able to pin a loss on a guy if he came in with a runner on first and two out, game tied, and three consecutive errors on pickoff throws made the guy score.
  15. Is this some reference to a, um, bovine of the night? Those Illinois people are weird.
  16. Yes, anyone with a career OPS under .740 is just horrible.
  17. Villy is staying in the game to pitch the 5th. Ned will make him a gritty battler yet.
  18. I remember seeing a 3-run lead overcome once. Long ago. Maybe it was only 2 runs.
  19. Ah, the old 17 pitch walk! Well played by all.
