  1. A little off topic, but D. Lee of Chicago must not have been hurt too badly, he hit #26 tonight.
  2. Cox vs Yost...man watching the Braves play, the game just seems to make more sense. He never makes a move that results in a "What was that? Why didn't he..." Yost must think outside the box...or something
  3. it seems as though Yost relies too heavily on pitch counts. Sheets didn't get his 110 yet, so he left them out there. I know that Yost has said that he doesn't want to use the pen, but he is messing around with one of our important pieces for the future. Rain + 6 run lead = Sheets not being out there, but there he is.
  4. Good work Ben, two sacrifices in one game. New team record, and give him the team MVP. We may not get 2 more sacrifice bunts down the rest of the month
  5. Yeah, we're going to need a tornado to get this one called...actually, a tornado might only cause them to delay it until it passes...or the Braves take the lead
  6. I'm doing my rain dance. Do you think that a rain dance in Wisconsin will affect the weather in Atlanta? Hey, if a butterfly flaps its wings in central park...maybe I need some butterflies
  7. Ok. let's get this inning in, so its official, and then let the sky open up. I can't take another night like the last few.
  8. that was one of the best curves he has thrown this year.
  9. Yeah, HOFFY, you took some lumps yesterday, by I still agree. I don't understand why the Braves win, and we don't. Getting the Brewers to stay focused for an entire 9 inning game is like getting a 6 year old to sit still for an entire 3 hour car ride.
  10. Oh great, its only the 3rd, and we're already kicking the ball around. Usually it takes us until at least the 6th to lose focus on the game.
  11. Looks like we get to keep Greg Vaughn on the record books for most RBI before the break.
  12. Aah, the Eephus, where have you gone. I can imagine a young Adam looking on with admiration as his father takes the mound in a major league game. As Dave unleashes his secret weapon, the slow, bending eepus, one thought goes through young Adam's brain: "Dad, you friggin dork, why do you throw that trash. Try bringing some heat."
  13. I guess a lot of things have been killing us
  14. this just is not going to end well
  15. OOOH, if we put in Turnbow, the Kolb/Yurnbow matchup could be the most exciting inning of the year
  16. Geoff Jenkins in a nutshell, is having a good game, but is still killing us with getting caught at the plate, and grounding into a key double play. (OK, the thing at the plate may not be his fault, but it ruins the credibility of this post to mention it...)
  17. Davis deserves to win this game, but it seems like we are just waiting for Atlanta to score again. It seems as though our offense has already hit the showers.
  18. Nice camerawork, I needed to see a quick cut to Yost picking his nose
  19. Hall, too. He has noticeably shortened his swing and seems to be concentrating on just making contact. 3-3, and has looked far better than he has in a week
  20. Maybe we can trade some of our Battlers, gamers, fighters, and hard workers for a couple of thinkers and concentrators
  21. Hey, there's my favorite commercial. We are fightering and gamering our way to another ugly game, and hard workering our way to another top 7 draft pick
  22. I agree, HOFFY. The "Winning Mentality" theory always seemed a little goofy, but here is proof. I was thinking the same thing, and trying to find a way to word it in a post. It just seems like this entire team loses focus on the big picture in their games.
  23. No, I was wrong. The base running error proves that this is those same old Brewers
