  1. I just had to reply to this post to keep the greatest interview I have ever read at the top of the list. I am also going to petition Toby to put this kid in the top 10 of his power 50, and am officially starting the Will Inman madhouse, er I mean fan club.
  2. Just a heads up, Braun is batting 4th and DHing for Helena, who is coming to bat.
  3. I know hind sight is 20-20, but I would have had rickie sqinging on that 3-0 pitch. Everybody and their grandma knew that a fastball right down the middle was comming. Rickie will never see a better pitch to hit ever again in his career.
  4. I do have to admit that some of the Twins fans were just as obnoxious as the Cubs fans. Nothing intelligent, just a lot of "(insert name or object here) Suck (Insert grade school name for a part of the human anatomyhere)," and some references to the scoreboard. When Carlos Lee hit his 2 run double, the crowd erupted, and for the first time in the game you could tell that there were more Brewer fans there than Twins fans. After hearing numerous personal jabs at specific fans, especially the group with the "Jenkins Jungle" garb, it was nice to win. A sweep would be very nice. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for people going to a game and cheering on their teams, I just think that it s wrong for some of these fans to make personal stabs at people for doing the same for their teams. I understand the Twins fans coming to Miller park to see their team play, I would too if my team played at their stadium. Most were good fans looking to see a good game. As for the rest, I hope they spend a lot of money in Milwaukee, and then go home with 3 losses, and their tails tucked between their legs.
  5. Great game, unfortunately I had to work in Madison @ 11:00, and had to leave early. Sadly I missed Fielder's first home run. It's almost enough to make me want to quit my job. It was nice to meet those that I talked to, wish I wasn't so wiped out (3rd shift is killing me) so I could have met the rest that was there. Thanks Brian et al for putting FanFest on. I should be on a for real people schedule by the time the next one comes around, so hopefully I won't miss Nelson Cruz's first career home run that will surely happen at that game. Once again, thanks to those who put on the fanfest, and it was nice to meet some of the posters there.
  6. Man, the ball just rockets off Rickie's bat
  7. wow, Helms has one of the best at bats I've seen in a while
  8. Over/under on how many times Yost says "battle" in the post game interview is 16, any takers?
  9. Breathe easy, but it wasn't a good game for my blood pressure. Yankees under .500 makes me smile
  10. Maybe his hair is starting to get in the way. Yeah, thanks for the help, Cano!
  11. Oh no...It's the BAD Turnbow. Take him out! Take him out!
  12. OOOO, you can cut the tension with a knife, I hope the GOOD Turnbow shows up tonight.
  13. Man, I hope Overbay gets it going soon, I'd hate to see him still struggling July 24 for the fanfest
  14. For today, Junior is 1-3 with a go ahead home run, and a nice double play to get out of a jam. Weeks is 0-4 with a walk, a strikeout with the bases loaded, and an error that cost a couple of runs. So for today, we keep Junior. As for tomorrow, well, things change quickly in this "What have you done for me lately" world of major league baseball.
  15. and now Davis can win, Junior earning his keep...today
  16. I guess you could say that Davis somehow battled his way to a quality start
  17. If some of our players are "grinders," do Chad Moeller and Wes Helms count as hoagies? And if so, does that make the Brewers "Hoagies and grinders, hagies and grinders, Navy beans navy beans, meat loaf sandwich"
  18. Randy Johnson throwing Kidney punches?
  19. Forget about the curve ball, Dougie, give 'em the...well, maybe you should have stuck with the curve.
  20. Wow, does anyone else feel that Cano could use a veteran platoon mate? (rehashing the block party with spivey's name on it for 2 straight years)
