The first two games have gone perfectly for the Brewers, but the Cubs will have the home advantage at Wrigley Field. Pat Murphy and Quinn Priester need to finish the job as quickly as possible.
-
Christian Yelich has turned the Milwaukee Brewers franchise around since being traded here. The Brewers have gone from a bottom-tier franchise to one of the most consistent winning teams over the last eight seasons.
-
Freddy Peralta might not be taking home the Cy Young with guys like Paul Skenes and Cristopher Sánchez ahead of him, but he’s been massive for the Brewers. Without him, this 2025 team wouldn’t be anywhere near the spot they’re in now.

The Timber Rattlers might not be winning a ton, but this roster is as exciting as it’s been in a long time. Top prospect Jesús Made is only 18 and already looks like he could be a future star, and first round pick Andrew Fischer is beginning his pro career in Appleton. Add in the mix of power bats, speed, and young arms around them, and it feels like the kind of group that won’t be together for long, so see them while you can.

Isaac Collins wasn’t supposed to be a big part of the Brewers’ story this year, but injuries opened the door, and he’s kicked it wide open. A minor league Rule-5 pickup just a couple of years ago, he’s gone from a depth piece to one of Milwaukee’s most reliable bats and gloves, racking up key hits, stealing bases, and making game-changing plays in the field. Now he’s a name every Brewers fan knows, and his impact goes way deeper than the box score.

According to some national sources, the Brewers are one of the biggest losers of the trade deadline, but that might just not be true. Sure, there wasn’t some big, flashy move, but they made smart upgrades without giving up key pieces. Between the early additions of Quinn Priester and Andrew Vaughn and the true deadline moves to add bullpen help and a backup catcher, the roster got better. People are calling them losers, but if you actually look at everything they did… that narrative might start to fall apart.

The Brewers aren’t just hot, they’re legit. With one of the best records in the National League and a team that just keeps finding ways to win, this isn’t some midseason fluke. The pitching has been lights-out, the lineup is deep and balanced, and the young players are stepping up in a big way. Yelich looks like a star again, the bullpen is nails, and the energy around this team feels different. It’s not just about making the playoffs anymore — the Brewers have everything they need to make a real run at the World Series.

With the first half of the 2025 season officially in the books, I went through the entire Brewers roster and handed out grades for every player—starters, bench bats, bullpen arms, and everyone in between. Some names have exceeded expectations, others have come up short, and a few might surprise you entirely. From breakout performances to under-the-radar contributors, here’s how I think each Brewer stacks up as we head into the second half.

With the trade deadline coming up, the Brewers are in a good spot overall, but there are still a few areas that need to be addressed. Even with how well they’ve played lately, injuries and some clear gaps have started to show. The front office has some decisions to make, and while a big move is always exciting, history says they’ll probably go the quieter route—and honestly, that might be what works best.

When the Brewers dealt away their All-Star closer, Devin Williams, most figured the bullpen would struggle, but instead, it quietly became one of the best in baseball. Led by Trevor Megill, Nick Mears, and Abner Uribe, Milwaukee’s relievers are a collection of overlooked arms and redemption projects, stitched together with smart scouting and elite development. They aren’t household names, but they’re effective—and if the Brewers make another postseason run, this group might just be the reason why.

In just his second MLB start, Jacob Misiorowski took a perfect game into the 7th inning, he's topped out at 103 mph, and leaves hitters looking helpless. Although he’s always been a top prospect, it wasn’t always like this. Drafted out of a small community college with electric stuff but shaky control, the Brewers looked at him in the bullpen nearing the end of the 2024 season. How did one high-risk project end up being one of the most exciting young pitchers in baseball?
