I like Ortiz's defense. His bat is something else. He comes up to the plate with bases loaded and can't walk or take one for the team. His bat is bad. Can he even hit above the Mendoza line? When Chourio and Vaughn come back maybe they can hide his bat in the line up?

Is it too late to sign Turang to a long term deal? I sure hope not.

Do not trade Peralta. All teams are looking for starting pitchers. Why trade the ace of the staff, even if you have Peralta for one more year? Keep Peralta for the one year and get the extra draft choice. Peralta was eleven games over .500 in 2024. What trade is going to compensate that margin? Stick with Peralta.

Freddy Peralta is ranked in the top 10 and yet everyone is so eager to trade him. Instead of thinking of teams to trade him to, the Brewers need to find a way to sign him. He is only 30 with at least 5 years of good pitching in him. Brewers need to sign him and not trade him. If the Brewers can't sign him, then they can't play with the big teams.

Do not trade Peralta. Brewers need a veteran starting pitcher in their rotation, if they want to compete again. Peralta is the answer. He is their #1 starting pitcher in their rotation. It would be very difficult to replace a 17-6 record and more that 200 strikeouts. Keep Peralta.

Trading Collins was not a high price to pay. They needed to clear left field so Chourio could play there. Chourio is not the best player to play center field. Either Mitchell if healthy or Perkins is a better center fielder. As they say you have to give up something to get something back. The bullpen was burned out at the end of the season, so acquiring another bullpen arm is not a bad idea.

Play Monasterio over Ortiz. You must be kidding. Ortiz's defense is superior to Monasterio. I will take the defense over Monasterio's weak bat anytime.
