  1. So just a couple more weeks to wait on this.
  2. It would be such an Aaron Rodgers move to just retire now after all this.
  3. I think the division could also be pretty competitive. The Lions could be playoff caliber, the Vikings are usually in the thick of things. The Bears obviously stunk but depending on the pieces they add and Fields' development they could improve quickly.
  4. Packers Twitter will explode if they take a WR in the 1st, lol. I actually think if they land an extra 2nd, someone like Hyatt or Downs would be a nice potential target.
  5. I think if the plan was to run it back and expect to be in a similar spot to 2021, that plan had to include Davante Adams. Trying to run it back with a few rookie WRs and low end FAs looked like a flimsy plan even without the benefit of hindsight, IMO.
  6. The difficult part if we end up disappointed with trade compensation is knowing we could have almost certainly received a great deal more at this time last year. The old adage about it being better to move on a year too early than a year too late applies.
  7. Would anyone have any interest in Zach Wilson in return (in addition to pick compensation) as Love's backup?
  8. I'm excited to see what we get in trade while being prepared to be disappointed. I'd expect something conditional, but would be disappointed with a Favre type return. I'd be happy to land the Jets 1st this year if its guaranteed, even if that's the only piece. Anything more would be gravy. Prediction - their 2nd this year (#43 overall), and a conditional 2nd next year which can become a 1st.
  9. 🤣 literally said it was a nice streak and the only reason we lost is the 76ers played out of their mind that game. Yes I was critical of Mids but having him healthy and fully effective in the playoffs is so important to our success as we found out last season.
  10. Was a nice streak. 76ers played out of their minds tonight. Middleton has been plum useless this season. Here's hoping he's healthy and fully effective by the time the playoffs roll around.
  11. With all that said, let's make no mistake, Boston is really, really good. I'd put it at 40/40 on whether the Bucks or C's see the Finals...with 20% for the field (Philly mostly).
  12. Is it encouraging that the Bucks just took out the #1 seed defending EC champs in a huge game, or discouraging that it took OT at home against their B team to do it?
  13. Does Crowder have anything left? Serious question for anyone who may have seen him play this year. I don't dislike the acquisition, we have had some success with defense/veteran/culture acquisitions at the deadline and others have fallen on their face. Ibaka was our big one last year and to say he looked completely washed would be far too kind of a statement.
  14. Didn't he essentially do that last season with his new contract? He'd be walking away from a lot of money to retire now. That's all a team can do to make a player commit to future years-- make it financially painful to walk away. Any player could walk away after any season whether they're 23 or 40.
  15. There's absolutely no way Rodgers is bringing back a top 5 pick and change. Seattle also doesn't make sense as a destination unless the Seahawks let Geno hit free agency and someone gives him a big overpay to leave Seattle. My guess is he'll be a bridge guy there for another 2 seasons and they'll draft his successor in '24.
  16. In this category, here were guys ahead of him: Jamaal Williams, Tyler Allgeier, Devin Singletary, Raheem Mostert, Jeff Wilson He was also near the bottom of this group in both YPC and yards per target. Especially for a 2nd round pick, the above names are nearly the definition of "just a guy."
  17. I mean yeah we do need a safety. Or two. Woof. But the class isn't very top heavy. We're not getting Brian Brach. So I'm thinking safety might be a Day 2 pick.
  18. I love how people scoff at the notion of taking a RB in the 1st round when we drafted a RB in the 2nd round as a backup RB and this 1st round RB is arguably the most talented player in the draft and arguably one of the top 5 RB prospects out of college in history.
  19. We'll be on the clock at #15. Here's an off the wall idea that should go around that range: #15: Bijan Robinson, RB Texas Hear me out on this, Aaron Jones has a cap hit of over $20M next year and that certainly isn't happening. Maybe he's back at a reduced cost or maybe it's simply time to move on. Dillon is just a guy. He'll be back in a backup role next year in the last year of his rookie contract and then likely gone. We've constantly added pieces for the defense, and with Love taking over next year it's time to add one for the offense. I know RBs are a dying breed but Bijan checks every box. Adding a likely generational RB to take some pressure off of Love in his young career behind a good young OL and talented young receivers could be the perfect way to get Love's starting career going.
  20. It's no surprise he's heartbroken. He's spent his entire young career in Atlanta and it's a major life event for him to have his life and career suddenly upended. And yes, Milwaukee is widely seen as a less attractive destination than Atlanta. Like most players traded to Milwaukee, he'll get over it.
  21. I've been pleasantly surprised with how easy it is for the cord cutting NFL fan to still get all their content. A high range roof antenna is a must, at least for me. Perhaps those who live in a big city can get by with an indoor antenna. I have a 150 mile range antenna on my roof and can pick up NBC from Eau Claire in Wisconsin Rapids and FOX and CBS from Wausau. So that covers my Sunday Packer viewing as well as the other afternoon broadcast games, as well as SNF. I thought I'd be out of luck for MNF being on ESPN, but it turns out it's on ABC as well, so I get that free as well. The only viewing cost is Amazon Prime for TNF, which we owned well before Amazon bought the rights to TNF for Amazon shopping.
  22. This is a pretty major accusation. Not saying an untrue one, I have no idea one way or another, but a small market extending a $215M franchise record extension to a player with a known poor work ethic would be egregiously negligent.

  24. Yeah, there isn't much you can do other than this. He's also got the full NTC anyway. I suppose somewhere down the line 3 or 4 years from now, if he stays somewhat productive, I could see a deal where he goes to a big market club in a salary dump type situation where we pick up half the tab, if he's receptive to moving.
  25. Yelich's contract is probably 100 million or more of negative underwater value. I know the big market clubs have a lot of money, but that doesn't mean they're going to just eat our bad investment just for Josh Hader.
