The Ravens are listening to offers for Derrick Henry. Could be a much cheaper and shorter term alternative to JT if we are to move on from Jacobs.

It’s so depressing to see kickers regularly hit from 40-50 like it’s nothing, and our kicker makes his last 3 extra points on Thursday and our HC says “oh yeah, I love the way Smack responded.” Extra points are supposed to be a given.

Assuming he didn’t price himself out of our range with his late season run, I think a Freddy Peralta reunion would make total sense. Much different relying on him as our 3 or 4 than our ace. But this is only assuming his market is cooler than expected and he’s available for like 3/60. If it’s more years than that I would look elsewhere.

To be fair we definitely would have still won it if we did, lol. But Henderson will be a Brewer next season, Skubal would not be. And then there would be this weird unfounded narrative in the national media that we won the World Series because we went out and got Skubal.

He's saying the Yankees are a selfish team playing for their own contracts or money or... whatever! I don't think Murph cares, but it was clearly a shot at the Yankees and... so what! We're the Brewers, we don't care what the big market think anymore! By the time Jesus Makes another Jesus Made(so Jesus Made Jr)... the way I figure it, we're going to be closing in on their World Series total! He doesn’t really care. He’s had nothing but complimentary things to say about the Dodgers last year. It was clearly just intended to be an inside joke moment between Murphy and Bauers. I don’t think Murphy really cares one way or another how anyone else chooses to conduct business.

I have now watched every favorite sports team of mine win a championship in the last 16 years. This was always the missing one on the mantle for me. This is the one for me, that will change the way I watch sports and allow me to watch and enjoy the journey with less anxiety, no matter what happens, knowing that in every sport you have 30-32 teams all trying for the same goal and only one getting to celebrate at the end of the season, and no matter what happens, all the heartbreaks were worth it because I got to see all my teams win championships. I think. I hope,

Why would you want to? I like the Rays. I love Peralta and Rasmussen. I don’t have a “second” favorite team but if it had been any other year, I would have been cheering them on.

I think they actually could afford William. The catcher market isn’t crazy relative to other positions.

Hmm. I don’t necessarily agree, not taking anything away from Sal but just because this was such a “team” effort and team WS, and it was such a dominating effort, that I don’t know that there’s any one guy you could take and replace him with next man up and lose a series that you won in 4-5 games. Maybe Ashby, or Contreras. With that said, I agree that Sal was a higr part of this and I don’t know that I’d trade him in the offseason as I’ve suggested in the path. They did sign Lara and he is part of this team’s future. But for 2027, why not have both, and keep the depth. Frelick can be the default guy against righties in right and Lara I’m sure will get plenty of ABs over the year against lefties, and as a defensive replacement and replacement for when guys inevitably hit the IL. Maybe the days of having to limp along with guys like Greg Jones and Blake Perkins for awhile are over.

Priester was a huge part of our 2025 team. If he’s back at full strength next year that could be big.

He’s an interesting story for next season. Does he compete for a rotation spot, go to Nashville, or do they think of trying him in the pen? May almost certainly won’t be back, Miz, Henderson, and Gasser have three rotation spots spoken for. That leaves 2-3 for Harrison, Drohan, Sproat, Priester, and whoever they might acquire in the offseason.

Any other season, any other year I would have been thrilled to see them win the World Series, would have been rooting for them. Not this one, though.

Tonight is bigger for Wisconsin for sure. I will never forget Giannis putting the Bucks on his back in the NBA Finals, though.
