Not to mince words here as they have been venerable and solid vets but....Hawkins and Saito flat out suck in my opinion. I'm glad they are out of here! KRod is only 30 and this now makes the 8th and 9th innings automatic for us for a whole 162 game schedule.. ...so yes, this IS cool http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  2. The Big Cheese
This is a little more like it Milwaukee!!!
  3. The Big Cheese
Alright, and I'm dead serious in asking this...but is it time to think about moving either Naverson or Parra from the bullpen and moving Davis INTO the pen???
  4. The Big Cheese
Three Run Shot...Dougie's return to the Brewers remains a shaky one http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
  5. The Big Cheese
Not gonna lie, Trevor is starting to make me more nervous when he comes in, ala Gagne/Turnbow...time for that to stop, starting tomorrow!
  6. The Big Cheese
I definitely think we need to see Rickie be able to stay healthy before we talk "extension," though I'd love to keep him...
  7. The Big Cheese
That or trade Prince for 3 impact players and I will be optimism abound as well. Doubt we'd ever get a "Herschel Walker" trade for him...lock the big man up!
  8. The Big Cheese
Can't we just call up Lucroy or Salome and be done with this situation!?!?!
  9. The Big Cheese
If the Twins can sign Mauer to this type of extension there is NO REASON (other than what the Billy Beane Moneyball fanatics on this board want you to believe) for us not to be able to have the money to sing Prince. We draw just as many, if not more, fans then Minnesota does. No excuses not to get this done now...
  10. The Big Cheese
Sometimes you just gotta "pay the cost if you wanna be the boss" If Prince has a Pujols like year, he must be re-signed, or the Brewers will forever remain behind the Packers and now possibly even the Bucks in terms of relevance in the realm of Wisconsin Professional Athletics.
  11. The Big Cheese
I'm sure all the Billy Beane disciples on here will flame this post to oblivion I too find no good reason to move Fielder. He is making a case as the greatest power hitter in franchise history. If the Phillies can sign Ryan Howard long term why can't we? Give him the money we were prepared to offer Sabathia and make him and Braun the new Yount & Molitor. Develop Arnett and the young arms and take your chances.
  12. The Big Cheese
What are the odds we can send Carlos to the same city that Charlie Villenueva will be playing in next season for a REAL set up man? I just don't think he has the mental makeup to be Hoffman's set-up man...
  13. The Big Cheese
It seems like ever since the Sabathia trade Ben Sheets has been "human" ...I'm getting a lil tired of it
  14. The Big Cheese
    DOH! Yosted again.... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/ohwell.gif
  15. The Big Cheese
If there was EVER a textbook description of the term "Yosted," today was the day http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

Is anyone else having visions of Gallardo being to the Brewers in October 2008 what KRod was to the Angels in October 2002?
  17. The Big Cheese
I'm glad Tom can see what the vast majority of us all can, but apparently Nedley can't. How bout Doug?? ....Mark A.?? Someone just make Mota go away... http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif
  18. The Big Cheese
Please...someone...DFA Mota!!! But I also agree with a post from above. The Brewers severely lack in the "professional" hitting department. Way too much free swining and hacking. Where is the patience at the plate? Where is just trying to get hits and letting everything else fall into place? Where is Weeks and Braun being smart enough not to ALWAYS swing at low and away pitches? Have some freakin discipline you guys or move outta the way so we can focus on Packer training camp coverage! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  19. The Big Cheese
MOTA SUCKS!!! How's that for an analysis http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif
  20. The Big Cheese
Don't give up on Angel guys. He still has the potential to be the best catching prospect we've seen here since the 1980s, and I trust he'll have learned his lesson by this epic suspension. And remember what Delmon Young did. No one seems to even care about that and all the games he received now that he's shagging fly balls in the majors. I trust the Brewers won't give up on Angel either...
  21. The Big Cheese
Look the Brewers are in a position where they could make a run at the title...THE TITLE PEOPLE! They need to seriously consider Buerhle and for the players DHonks mentioned he'd be an absolute steal.
  22. The Big Cheese
A starting pitcher no doubt after tonight's perfect game. Personally I love Villy in his dominant set up role, and would like to see Gallardo and Parra take over for Bush & Vargas in 2008 and beyond.
  23. The Big Cheese
I think Parra's performance tonight cements the fact that he should be given every chance to become a starting pitcher with the big league club down the line (I have no problem using him out of the pen in September, and the playoffs, this year though). I have read a lot of BF.netters saying they like him in the bullpen, but like colby mentioned on the previous page, there have been reports of Parra's return to dominance (both with his velocity and command). To me he has the talent of a #2 to #3 arm in a playoff rotation. This guy is a starter IMO if he stays healthy... 2008 rotation...? Sheets Suppan Capuano Gallardo Parra
  24. The Big Cheese
Wow, Corey Hart baby! Maybe the Grady Sizemore comparisons are accurate when describing him. What a great all-around player...
  25. The Big Cheese
Suppan has really been sucking it up his last several starts. It might be time to start getting concerned about him...
