I'm just finishing up grad school and we've had many discussions with teachers, and portions of class devoted to interviewing and issues such as this. I think the best course of action would be for you to call them up, explain the situation, and then leave it up to them as to whether they would like you to come in and interview. I would not ask to have it moved back, instead say that you are happy to still come in, but you are concerned about your appearance and the issue with having trouble talking, and if they would like you are happy to reschedule the interview for a day or 2 later.

I'm with you there. I got to work at 6:30 this morning so that I could get out of here by 3pm (stupid mandatory non-paid lunches) I'll be following on one of the game casts as my work blocks streaming radio (MLB.tv) then racing home as fast as I can to watch the game. I cannot sit still for the life of me, just need to get out of here soon! GO CREW!

After the bunt to get the 2nd out, they showed a close up of Fielder. It looked to me like he had earplugs in (the inside of his ear sure looked white to me), any body have any ideas why he would do so?

I was wondering who else saw the guy dressed up as greenman during the game yesterday? I saw him on tv, and I really wanted to try and find it in the archived game and show it to my roommate. I don't particularly want to watch the whole game over so I was hoping someone saw it on tv as well and remembers what inning it was in that they showed him? For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about it's an Always Sunny in Philadelphia reference in which Charlie dresses up as greenman. It's basically just like a nylon suit that covers him completely from head to toe (including covering his face).

At work on top of my monitor I have a set of nesting dolls (Hall, Weeks, Fielder, Hardy), mini bobbleheads of Gantner and Thomas, and then one on each side of my monitor I have a Hot Dog Racing Sausage bobblehead, and a Turnbow bobblehead. This morning I get into work to see a large post-it note with "Corey Hart for MVP!" written on it. Looks like someone in our cleaning crew likes the Brewers a whole lot too. (I work in Minneapolis) Great way to start the day. I'll have to leave some sort of message for him/her one of these nights to see if I get another reply.

Wilco is pretty much my favorite band. I saw them 3x in the past year. Wasn't able to get tickets for the 5 night show in Chicago last weekend though. A friend of mine went and said it was amazing. I guess Wilco is going to do it again next year.

I'm not sure which format change you were speaking of, because I know they were planning to do a complete overhaul recently, but had to push it back. I took the GRE general exam in December, and got an 1180, which I was quite happy with but wished I had studied more for scholarship purposes. The vocabulary is definitely the hardest part. I got a 510 on the vocab, and a 670 on the quantitative. I am a good standardized test taker so I didn't study too much, kinda wish I had studied more. I thought the math was going to be much harder than it was. The problem is as you probably know, every time you get a question right, the problems get harder so it's kind of frustrating when you know you're doing good and then come up to a question where you don't have the slightest idea what to do. The advice I would give is to use the CD as much as possible (if it came with a practice CD) or just take as many practice exams as you can. I memorized (at the time) the 50 most common words on the GRE, which should be in your book somewhere. As dikapalooza mentioned you will get your results immediately. It will ask you whether or not you want to send your results out to schools. If you say "no" you can see the results but no matter how good you did you cannot send them out. So you better be sure you completely bombed the test before you say "no." Also like dikapalooza said the most important things are letters of recommendation, and your letter of intent. GRE scores can definitely boost or lower your chances, but not as much as a bad letter of rec. Good luck! I know it's a stressful time. What are you planning on going to grad school for? I'm about to start my first year going for my Au.D. (or Ph.D. depends how much time I want to spend in school) at the University of Minnesota.

Hey guys, I have class at 8am on a sunday cuz i'm trying to fulfill credits to graduate, basically professed my love to a friend of mine, even though she has a bf of 6 months, but w/e i wanna be with her, i'm trased and havve 6hrs till i need to get up, it's gonna be a bad sunday...buty the badgers won!!!!! GOOO BUCKY, i friggen love this message board, all of it. I check it every day, don;t post too much though, cuz I don't wanna sound stupid, just wanna say you guys who post all the time rock!

Just wanted to clear up...the Lifer in my name refers to being a life long fan, kinda like a "lifer" in prison. How my love for the Crew won't ever go away. Nothing about religion or social aspects of life.

Disclaimer: This is not any kind of political statement... What's bugging me is the billboards that tell me how an embryo is a human, and that it's heart is beating 18 days from conception. Now this is not me ranting about how people are telling me what to think. We get that every day, and I have more or less become immune to it. The problem I have is that it's a blatant lie. The embryo does not have a heartbeat at 18 days, it isn't any bigger than the nail on your pinky finger at 18 days. It does not have a single organ, much less a heart. The brain and spinal cord (essential to a heartbeat) are not even developed at this point. We have just recently learned all of this in my neuroscience class, and have had it affirmed by my trip to Body World's this weekend. So yes, blatant lying on billboards is what is bugging me right now.

So these lines that people are starting outside of Target and whatnot...are they legally binding or anything? My roomates want to get a Wii and are planning to simply show up about 2 hrs before the store opens step to the front of the line, deal with any hasseling and then make a run for the Wii. Would there be anything wrong with this (besides morally)? I'm the one in the apt who has the car, and I told them I will drive them simply because I want to see what happens when a bunch of nerdy guys (not trying to generalize, it's just that I saw guys lined up at Target Thursday afternoon and they weren't exactly the body building/fighting type) attempt to stop my 2 roomates who are very fit 20yr old college kids who have had their fair share of fights.

Well...it's thursday night and I am drunk. originally only gonna have a white russian (with caramel vodka...delichous)..then my roomate wanted me to go buy him some pirate rum (see: horrible rum with a pirate map on th ebottle) cuz he's not 21, so I was more than happy to oblige. we ended up playing guitar hero one of the roomates threw up, then we went to jimmy johns got some subs, and listened to some music now. Good nights all around, stupid class tomorrow ruining all my fun!

This happened back in August actually, but what's bugging me is parents who can't control their kids. At the Minnesota zoo, a little 9yr old girl climbed over a large set of boulders, and over a wall/fence and got her finger bit by a meerkat. While all of the meerkats had been vaccinated for rabies noone knew for sure whether or not any of them had it. So you would think the little girl would get her rabies shots and be done with it, right? Well... you'd be wrong. As opposed to getting rabies shots for the little girl, the parents decided they would make the zoo kill all 5 of the meerkats that were outdoors (as they couldn't tell which one bit the little girl) to check to see if any of them had rabies. How is it that when a little girl who's parents are not watching her, climbs over an embankment and a wall (which is no easy task as I've been told by friends who used to work there), proceeds to get bit by a meerkat, and then the meerkats are the ones who are punished? They did nothing wrong, simply being the wild animals they are. And as it turned out none of the meerkats had rabies so basically they were killed for no good reason. Now I highly doubt meerkats are cheap at all, so now they zoo had to replace them. I am willing to bet the parents didn't have to pay any of those fees, and probably talked about suing the city/state for not making it harder for kids to climb over the walls. Walls/fences are there for a reason! Now I am only 21, so I don't have kids and can't pretend like I know how to raise them. But I know darn well that if I ever did something stupid like that not only would I have had to get the rabies shots (which I have heard are quite painful), but that I would also have gotten a good slap on the rear. Just my 2 cents.

Hostel If you're a fan of the gory Saw type films, then this may intrigue you. The first 20-30 min are basically a soft core porno...which isn't bad in and of itself. Afterwards the gore starts. If you are squeamish, stay away. I enjoyed it though.

Helllloooooo.....lalala. It is my roomates 21st today, I'm not 21 but I'm joining in the festivities regardless. Just gotta hope it's not like saturday night when I was out before 10pm, and lets just say i missed the garbage can a little bit, so I had to do some cleaning when I woke up. If I have the mlbtv package can I still listen to the audio? Or do I have to have the game day audio package to listen to todays game? I don't want to have to get GameDay audio to listen to a few spring training games
